yesterday 9/25

The vet just called. We spoke briefly late yesterday, but phone signal blipped and she was in a hurry to get home to her baby so I had to wait until today.

the initial labs look the same as last May, she said. We don't have the T4 yet.
Nothing concerned her.
she did say the urine specific gravity was 1030 which I think she means 1.030.
She thought that was due to eating canned food.
I went back and found a quote from Marje about it.
I will post links for the lab results when I get it in my hand.
The vet says she gets concerned if it drops below 1.020. (1020 as she said)
Code:
So still crossing paws that the USG comes back that she is totally concentrating her urine like she should be! You want to see it above 1.040. Again...the lab often shows the limits of normal being 1.008-1.060 but if a cat is below 1.040, they aren't fully concentrating their urine as they should be.

I , of course, will put more stock in Marje's words than my vet. :-D
And will ask Marje later down the road about it.....she's got more than enough on her plate currently.

Prayers for Marje and Mike and everyone else here needing them. Cleo's dental, Pixie, Jupiter and all our GA's and beans, even months ago.... the wounds stay fresh.

I went to bed super early last night.
I was chilled and feverish. I think it's more due to the shingles vaccine than the bite on my thumb. Probably the combo is what sent me over the edge.
Thumb is painful and a little swollen, vaccine site is big red lumpy splotch with heat coming off of it.
I had chickenpox 3 separate times ( by years) as a child so I want all the help I can get avoiding shingles.

Nice start for Shadow this morning. It sounds like the labs are pretty good. I don't know what the urine specific gravity is, so I hope that's nothing serious. Sending prayers for you to heal and feel better.
