YESTERDAY'S CONDO:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=125918

Not a great day with Max yesterday. The bounces start later and last longer, sigh. I hope he didn't get a fur shot to add to the confusion. His skin didn't feel wet but I didn't feel like it was the same when I pulled out the needle if that makes any sense. He was hungry this morning and had to wait an hour for food. He seems to feel okay this morning so far.

The auto shop finally offered to pay for a rental yesterday so I was able to go see my mom. She's been very sleepy all week and I think depressed. The holidays do that to her and it would be my dad's birthday in a few days so I'm not sure if she is feeling sick or just very sad. Thanks for all the prayers.

Have a great day and weekend. Vines and prayers to all beans and kitties in need.

Re: 9/26 MAX AMPS 260

I sincerely wish I had an explanation for what's going on with Max. Hopefully the vet visit next week will give you some concrete answers.

Lots of thoughts, prayers, and hugs going out to you and your mom (and Max). I know you're really struggling right now. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Re: 9/26 MAX AMPS 260

Thanks, Shelly. Whatever it is with Max started in April and my vet couldn't figure it out then. The cardiologist thought it could be pain or nasal congestion but it wasn't heart related. I am still hoping to get another video of it but so far haven't been successful.

Ok, Max....go easy with the bounce-clearing so you don't set yourself up for another, OK??

Could Max be having seasonal allergies??

Our prayers continue for Max, your Mom, and you!

Thanks, Amy. The bounce cleared slowly I think but who knows if it will trigger another and when.

The doctor emailed. My DM does have another infection and they are checking to see what antibiotic to use. This is crazy making.

Nice slide for Max today. I hope he keeps surfing. Sending more prayers for your mom. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Sorry to hear that your DM has another infection. Sending lots of healing vines!

I don't know all the details of Max's snoring noises, but have you looked up nasopharyngeal polyps? They are benign and usually nothing that needs to be addressed, but they can cause snoring sounds and noisy breathing. This explains them pretty well: http://www.vet.cornell.edu/FHC/health_r ... Polyps.cfm

Billie has always snored on and off and occasionally makes snorty sounds when she is just resting, so I looked into this for her a while ago. Her vet said it's possible she has one but that it's not something to worry about or explore unless the noise is constant, her breathing seems labored, or other symptoms like sneezing show up. He also said that some cats just snore and make more noise than others. Just a thought! I hope you figure out what's up with Max. :YMHUG:

Definitely not a furshot! :-D  Nice slide, Max. Slow and easy, so hopefully no bouncey bouncey!

If I recall correctly, the sounds you are concerned about are more like grunts, aren't they? He is awake when you hear them, right?

Sending lots of healing vines for your DM. I'm glad the doctors are on top of the infection. Prayers continue.

Thanks for the info, Deanna. I will read up on it. The snoring is a new thing and not all the time.

Yes the grunting happens while awake, Tricia. He seem uncomfortable when it happens and except for the first time happens after he eats. I was wondering if the gel cap bothers him a few times but he always eats a big spoonful of baby food after it.

Even more strange is his pmps. I almost stuck him a second time and then I thought what for? If it is way up on the next test it was a faulty test for whatever reason. Time for his shot.

Tons of vines for your mom. She can't get a break with all those infections. :YMHUG:

Re: 9/26 MAX AMPS 260+6.5/97+7.5/84 PMPS 92+2/107

Thanks Ruth and Wendy. My sister had to fight with the doctors to get him to okay an antibiotic. He said it must not have been a clean catch with 3 different types of bacteria. I told her to tell him at she has symptoms so one of them must be right. He agreed to use the only antibiotic that is sensitive to all three bacteria and they will get another sample Monday. She just can't catch a break is right.

I sure hope Max surfs this and doesn't dive. I know he hasn't read the book but when you shoot low and they don't jump up they aren't supposed to dive. Listening Max?
