Technically, both boys were due for a dosecrease yesterday - but since I was out of town all day, I figured I would hold off until today. Mandarin is up to 3 units now. :arghh: It seems like his body is so used to high numbers now, that he even bounces when he makes it down to blue. Luckily, he seems to be feeling just fine. He was extra affectionate when I came home last night. He is terrified of other people and was not happy when my friend Linda came in during the day to feed them (and test Walter - who is much more cooperative).

Little Iris is still not showing any improvement. I just talked to her vet again and I will drop her off on my way to work. I am so torn if I want them to sedate her and check for a polyp after what happened to her brother. I am terrified that the same thing could happen to her... but I also want her to feel better. :nailbiting:

Numbers don't tell the whole story; the fact that Mandarin is feeling good says a lot!
Poor wee Iris:( I hope the vet can come up with something to make her feel better.

The numbers still affect me even though I try really hard not to let them. Hopefully Mandarin will "snap" soon and get his surfing skills back. Tons of vines and prayers for little Iris and :bighug::bighug: for you. Walter....be a good boy today.

Iris is very happy to be back home. She was feeling well enough today that she had a lot to say about the injustice of having to stay in a cage at the vet's office all day. Her vet called over lunch to tell me that Iris actually sounded better and was less congested than last week. She also managed to put on half a pound. :woot: The vet still feels that we should give her some more time to grow bigger and stronger before we sedate her... and since I am terrified of something happening during anesthesia, we both agreed to wait a little longer before they check for a polyp.

The boys are both high and flat (and this bean is too lazy to walk upstairs and get the paper copy of their spreadsheet to look at the actual numbers ). I ran home over lunch, thinking that at least one of them might decide to work the dosecrease, but there was pretty much no movement at all. And for as much as I would like to see them in lower numbers, I am already exhausted and wouldn't mind a good night's sleep...

Enjoy the sleep when you can get it! You know the boys will do a simultaneous dive if they can. Probably on the night before a big day for you. :nailbiting::oops:

I'm glad little Iris is doing a tiny bit better. If she isn't feeling terrible and can wait to get a bit stronger, then that sounds like good advice from the vet. And it sounds like she's doing a bit better if she had a lot of opinions about spending the day at the vetty bean. :woot:
