I fed him some of his regular low carb food and tested again at +6.5 and its 54

I could use a little guidance!

Sorry no one seems to have seen your questions, Michele, it seems like the board was a bit quiet this afternoon.

I think you did the right thing by feeding some of the low carb. You are probably at, or very near, nadir so he should start going up again pretty soon anyways. The low carb will likely keep him from going any lower at this point. You can check again at +7 and maybe again at +7.5 just to make sure you have rising numbers.

His Nadirs have been at +9 consistently for the last several days though!

I did just test again at +7 and its 66 so at least its moving in the right direction

With some cats (including mine) the late nadir mainly shows up when they start the cycle in high numbers and are clearing a bounce. Since Crushy didn't start this cycle so high, you MAY see an earlier nadir. In any case you're doing well by keeping an eye on things - the 66 is good, so you can likely hold off on feeding him and see where the numbers are by the next test.

ah ok thanks! thats good to know!

Just tested again at +7.5 and its 63

Ill be keeping a close eye on his numbers just in case...
