I've been shooting the same place - I think it's near the flank - but decided to move the shot after reading a post that scar tissue might develop at the injection sight. So last night I shot at the side of the belly. And look what I have this morning - a 109!! And he's in the green at +2. :mrgreen:

I'm not going to question whether that was the reason for the wonky numbers, I'm just going to :-D and go forward!

there was an old post, maybe in Think Tank, that was talking different absorption rates from different sites. as i recall the general consensus was that the absorption was quicker from the flank/belly areas, with a slightly earlier nadir; the scruff was slower with a more mid-cycle nadir.

i'll be curious what you see today with the change in locations on jesse.

and enjoy that nice green number no matter how it showed up! :mrgreen:

Hi Ella, not sure if you're trying to tent Rusty's skin to shoot (like you would giving SubQ fluids), and I know it's probably way harder with a long haired cat. But what I do is just take hold of some fur close to the skin and pull it away from his body. Then I just shoot at an angle to get under the skin. Have you tried that?
