Well on a good note Toby's Ketones are still Neg. On the other hand we still have high bg. I guess you got to Take the bad with the good. I am looking at the positives. His 5P's are all in place and he is still here with me. Have to focus on that. Didn't wake

In yesterday's condo http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=125770, Julie said you could increase faster and by .5U. If you want, you could increase tonight.

Good news on the ketones and how Toby is feeling. They start to feel better as you get closer in dose.

Only tested preshot and +4 today. Just wanted to let him be a cat. His little ears are sore. If this makes me a bad mom than I guess I am. Will test tonight at preshot and up his dose .5units. will take a +3 test and monitor through out the night. Will start testing again tomorrow. Peg and Toby

You don't have to test every couple of hours around the clock, peg. Especially when a kitty is high and the bounce has just begun, i'd get one mid-cycle and the preshots and let it go. When you start to see movement of the blood sugar, then you might need to have more tests in, but your plan today is fine.

I know it's hard. Fingers crossed that a little more insulin will help move him! :YMHUG:

Gave Toby 5.25 units his +3 didn't move that much tonight. Maybe will see some action tomorrow. Glad to be in the lower 300's.

I agree with Julie on the testing. You'll wear yourself out completely if you try to test constantly around the clock. Don't forget that you have to take care of yourself in this process, too.

Yep, we all need and deserve a break from testing once in a while. Toby COULD have some plans for this evening, with that +3 being slightly lower than his PMPS. Hopefully you'll see some pretty blues and greens soon...have a great evening, Peg!
