Question. Prior to her loss of appetite you were saying you wanted to feed her less so she would lose weight. Did you feed less and for how long? An average female cat weighs about 10 pounds. If larger 12. I didn’t realize Tiffany was overweight and she was 12 pounds. My vet wanted her at 10.

I completely understand your frustration. It sounds like you're having a hard time and just trying to do the best you can do. I hope that the collective wisdom of the board will help you with some of the answers. I know when I get worried about FCC or Typewriter I start to scrutinize their every movement. I think it just stresses everyone out more (not implying that you're doing that, but I know can feel really overwhelming). I hope Susie gets her appetite back to where you think it should be.

I know, Elise. The fact that she still doesn't have her appetite back is the driving factor for me and also that she had lost a lot of weight. My vet might be happy but I am not.
Hey Summer. You say she has lost a lot of weight. How much weight are we talking about? What is the difference in her weight from the previous visit to this most recent one? What does the vet think is her ideal weight?

ETA: forget I asked! I see you put that up in an earlier post. I gotta go to bed now. My cat Ginger is not eating and I will have her at the vet first thing in the morning.

I'm so sorry about your Julius. I had no idea that you had lost a precious cat earlier in the year. Maybe, I should relax a little. Maybe I should just stop looking at labs. I would do that if it weren't for the fact that Susie is not eating well. This is a cat who was always hungry and full-figured. She acts hungry but can barely eat now. She is too skinny. I don't care that my vet thinks her loss of weight is good. I know, in my heart, that it is too much. I'm tired. I wish I could be a better Mom to Sus and figure out what is wrong. I guess that is why I feel compelled to have this one, last test done. The UPC ratio.
