Hello everyone!
We were unable to fill the prescription last night (long story but basically apparently the vet had to send the prescription to the pharmacy and they didn't) so had to postpone starting lantus for another day.
Maybe it was a blessing in disguise since it gave us some extra time to read about TR and SLGS and make our decision.
So right now we're leaning towards TR cause sounds like it's the most effective option to get Sulls into remission AND because it sounds like we can handle it.
Questions:
1) If we start on TR but for whatever reason decide that it's not working for us, can we safely/quickly switch to SLGS?
2) If we are going with TR, i'd like a confirmation on a starting dose. So Sull's "ideal" weight is 13lb (he's currently overweight by about 4lb). So we're thinking 1.5 units is a good place to start. Do you guys agree?
