good morning, everyone,

We may go home today. The performance yesterday was so distressing because the volume was so high and the music so relentless and the lighting so intensely bright. It was like water torture! We had to leave after 2 hours!

I think Rusty's new pen of Lev may be leaking. The pen smells like Lev. I have never noticed this smell with the cartridges. Is it typical of the pens? In any event, Rusty's bg are going up, even 3 days after we got here. So last night at PMPS and this morning I used the old cartridge, which I had brought along in case of emergency. He's mid yellow, but at least he's not going up!
Rusty wanted us up at 4 am! I guess he thinks we're heading home, and ,he may be right. Bbl, at some point. Maybe not until this evening.

P.s. we just decided to stay another day and go home tomorrow, as planned. Edward wants to do some work in the library and I can use another day here,too.

Whatever form it comes in I wouldn't think that you should be able to smell it. Maybe try wrapping it in a tissue to see if you get any wet spots to confirm leakage.

Sorry that the show last night wasn't to your liking. It does sound like torture - but this is coming from someone who doesn't like the movies because she thinks they're too loud :lol: Hopefully you have a wonderful day today to make up for it. Rusty you can do you bit by making your way down a floor or two ok :smile:

Well huge bummer on the performance! i know how much you were looking forward to it. What a shame...

Interesting on the pen... I have not noticed that before, any smell from the pens. Then again, I can rarely smell the insulin anyways... :?

Enjoy your day today - i hope it is good, maybe just a relaxing one in the city...

Hi guys .. sorry to hear your performance was not at all what you were expecting .. I hope that rusty's pen is not leaking, that stuff is to pricey to have it leaking everywhere! I hope that you guys enjoy your last day in the city and that your drive back is safe and easy .. have a great day!

Hi again,

Rusty has had a relaxing day, flat yellow. He has good appetite and has had a good play with a catnip mouse. He's biding his time until tomorrow's trip.

I had a frustrating shopping trip, but aside from that, got in some good walks. Edward is at his city yoga class. All is well here and we are getting stuff together for tomorrow.

Hi kitties, thanks for visiting me in the city. It was great seeing the Library lions (our cousins), Patience and Fortitude. These are virtues we all need, especially our beans. Tell them what the lions told us, ok?

Awww, I'm sorry the opera was disappointing. Even the shopping trip? Bummer!
I'm another one who doesn't like movies because of the loudness. Can't stand loud noise, even if it's beautiful music.

Rusty texted Checkers and told him, he wants to come home and chase squirrels in his back yard. :smile:

I thought pen and cartridge were the same thing. I have never smelled one leaking. I wonder if you can get a replacement, if it is.

I hope Rusty's pen is not leaking. At least you had a backup to use and Rusty is still yellow.

I was sitting here imagining Rusty's numbers all being inflated by 50 or more , just for travel stress. You seem to do it often so that's why I thought of a smaller number to represent the stress factor. Then Rusty would still be mostly in the blues....

Sorry your opera was too too much....
