YUMMMMMMMM! It's tradition!, and these pizza pies totally rock! The tuna cheese been perfected, and even with the added tuna and nip, I have to admit that they are pretty good! And, as a side benefit we have TUNA WATER too! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!

I hope everyone had a great Monday. Mine was great. Weather has been just awful the last few days - lots of rain, lots of thunder and lightning. It was hard to say what yesterday would do, it was such an assortment of all kinds of things predicted, different but still wet just about everywhere. I had wanted to go hike, so I threw the weather conditions that said MAJOR WET to the winds, and headed on out. After breffis with my son that is: BREFFIS! It really was a great day, on all levels. Here's what I wrote in last night's post: "Hi everyone! Thanks for visiting today. I hope you guys all had a great day. I did end up going on a hike, after Breffis with my son. My DS and I tried a new cafe today, as the old one finally did clsoe its doors. This place was booked as a pancake house, but they had all sorts of things. It actually was very good, so it looks like it will be our new breffis spot. It's close to where my son lives, which makes it easy for him to still get to work afterwards. Good food too! I went to eastern Washington today to hike - a spot called Eightmile lake, near Leavenworth, in the Stuart Mountain Range. Weather was awful getting there - nothing but rains.... pass was a mess too. I had hoped that it would clear by the time that I got to the trail, but NOPE! By the time I reached the lake the winds were blowing something fierce  , the rains were moving in over the mountains and into the lake area :o , and I was wet  , and it was just darn cold @-) . LMAO, yes, LMAO, and thank gawd for rain gear! Despite all that I had a great time. The lake is a gorgeous one, too bad that it was being rained on. HAHA. I think I did about 8.5 miles, maybe climbed 1700 feet. not too bad.... I had to be 3PM By the time I came back to the trail head, it had been a LONG day by then.... so I thought what the heck: hit up Starbucks there, got the biggest largest most caffeinated venti quad coffee I could to go, and hit the road. :-D ~O) ~O) ~O) Made it home wide awake and bushy tailed, and ready to wrap up what needed to be done tonight. The ~O) did help, as the drive home was a downpour too. It is a good thing I live in the PNW, and have webbed feet. An adventure today for sure. Glad I went." Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   BUT!!!! I am in DEEP SERIOUS TROUBLE. yes... once again I WAS LATE! 2 whole hours late.    They were not happy. Elsa was staring at me, with that postire that said: SERIOUSLY? Two hours????" and I swear I saw those squinty eyes that Mannie sued to do, all the time when I was late... darn scary those squinty eyes. Bug as pacing, back and forth... back and forth... back and forth... he too as not pleased. And Lola? silly girl was still rolling on the stairs, down the stairs this time, on purpose I think so that she could swat at meas she ran back up them, just to roll down again.... Funny thing was, as soon as I started up the stairs they threw the blood oath about my being late, never ever, and went an assumed the positions in eh kitchen. So began the loudest kitty choir I have ever heard! That could have awakened the neighbors! Guess they really were hungry..... Sorry guys!

Have a great day everyone. Today begins my five day/week care of the boys, for a month. I am stocked up on 5hr energies, red bulls, lots of coffee, and a brand new set of roller blades.  NO - Seriously - I really didn't do that, but sometimes I think amybe I should!   Today Nicholas will go to the pool, and my DMIL will watch William while we are there. The rest of the day will just evolve... My DD will be up around 1 or so, to hangout some, let the boys nap, etc before heading on home.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Wow on the rains and the fact that you still got out and did 8.5 miles. Silly girl. I think there is something liberating about hiking in the rain though. I remember you going to that spot other times, and it always looks so peaceful. Good idea on the large caffeinated help for the ride home.

You were 2 hours late? OMG. I bet that was not received well by the trio. I love the kitty choir though.

Good luck the next month. You definitely ought to think about those roller blades. Have a great day Michelle!

Ha ha! they were starving, cause what they hadn't eaten in what....4 hours? Or was it that you messed with their schedule and now they had to push the evening nap time back and Lola had to wait on her evening dig in the dirt time....sigh...

I'm glad the new breakfast spot was a good one. It looks like your hike was a good one despite the weather. on the welcoming committee. Our kitties don't like their schedules to be messed with. I hope you had a good day with the boys.

HI everyone! I hoe your day has been a good one. I don't think we broke 60 today, it's been a little on the coolish side. Alot of clouds today, some sun, but sure not much. It looks dismal out there tonight, very gray and dreary. blech. Where is our sun? Despite that Nicholas William and I had fun. we did all sorts of things, from pools to trails to building blocks, and baby rattles and bouncy seats. It's been a decent day here today. The routine with the boys is coming together, better each time we got through it. It gets a little rushed on days we have the pool, but we get through it. Little guy's chosen breakfast just cracks me up. Waffles, has to be waffles. 3/4 of them, with bacon. Gotta have the bacon, 3 slices it it, all topped with berries, lots of berries. Where in the world does he put it all? Breffis here in the mornings gets to be quite the production.... :-D   The pool went well today too. The energizer fish had a ton if fun, did all there was to do in the beach play area. It's nice to have him back into the groove. We also spent alot of time on the big pool. This was funny. They open that one up to the kids at 10:15. So that time rolls around and I asked him if he new what time it was. His eyes got really big, he stood erect, and then shouted as loud as he could " BIG POOL TIME!" and off he went on a mad dash. Off to the big pool. He really does love being there. They had some of the float mats out today, so he spent alot of time on that. He has this thing about rolling off the side of it,goes under water, and then trying to come up under the mat, crazy. He likes to have his head just a little above water with that mat on top of his head. He thinks it's fun. lol. and nuts. anyways - a very nice fun and productive day on the pool. We did a little bit of the trail after that until he ran out of steam. A good day. Back at it tomorrow .... :-D :-D :-D I will post the Picassa photo link in tomorrow's condo.

Hi Melissa - Crazy huh, all that rain, and yes, I still did go.... But you are right about it being liberating. I so agree with that. Until I am dripping water from everything I own.  THX - I agree too - it is a gorgeous spot, very peaceful. There is a section about a mile around the lake that fits that description to a T. Oh yes on the large caffeinated help for the ride home: it really somehow made for a nice drive back, even in the downpour. and yes: 2 hours!!! they weren't too pleased, the kitty choir was singing the blues! THX on the next month too. It will be a little crazy... best get lots of those caffeinated beverages!

HI Hillary - That is what they said! STARVING, and they hadn't eaten in the LONGEST time, and how could I do that? WAY TOO late!  oh to funny on Lola and her evening dig in the dirt time. She still found time for that. silly cat! a big yes on the "sigh....." ;-)

Hi Carla - Me too n the new breffis spot! I really enjoyed it, food was good too! I like tat hike,it is one I doe very year, as it is so pretty! a bit wet yesterday, but still nice. :-D thx on today - it was good. the kitties were glad I remembered their schedule too, all meals served on time. YAY!

2 hours???? Boy, you are lucky they let you back in the house. But then again, I guess they needed you to open the cans of fuds!!!

Wow on the 5 days a week  ....I'm sure you will have tons of fun, and probably be sleeping away the entire weekend!!

Have a great night, Michelle!!

Hi Amy - I so know.... I thought I might be drawn and quartered too! LOL - you are probably right... somebody has to open the cans, though I suspect that if Lola became desperate enough she'd figured it out...  oh yes on that weekend following those five days - that very well could be. :-D

Hi Michelle,
Those storm shots are spectacular. 8.5 miles in the pouring rain! Good thing you didn't melt! Web feet, huh? I remember when I lived in Seattle that the people there called people from Portland OR "webfeet"!

Today sounded like a great pool day. Nicholas really is THE FISH!

Nice that you and your son have found a new diner.

Oh those kitties were sure put out with you. Imagine being 2 hours late!! Unthinkable.

Have a great evening,

Ella & Rusty

P.s. to Elsa: fabulous espresso from Ethiopia this morning!

Hi Ella - sorry I missed this last night. THX on the photos. weather was awful there, but I did get some what of a break on the actual hike, showers on and off, a relief! LOL on the webfeet for those OR folks. we still do that! Pool was good, the fish still does love it. FUN TIMES! Yes too on the diner. I enjoyed the place. good servers too. YUPP! Two hours! it was unthinkable    I felt guilty....
