9/24 Kasha AMPS 122 PMPS 165, 76 @ +1.8 possibly bad news

Appetite is poor - hoping cypro kicks in soon and she actually eats. Most of food left out today was gone when I got home.

Got call from oncologist vet today with results of the cytology from when they aspirated the nodules under Kasha's front leg. He said the results were consistent with a cyst - however, they did find some epithelial cells which apparently means there could be mammary involvement - possibly mammary cancer. Nothing for sure. He said generally they treat mammary cancer surgically but chemo is an option. Since we are already doing chemo and he's seeing her weekly, he suggested we continue as we are and he can keep an eye on things to monitor any changes.

One more thing piled on the whole heap of other things that have long since overflowed my plate. I'm beyond depressed, beyond hating my life. This is a miserable existence. BF is currently out of the picture again. Because that's what you do, apparently. Wait till someone is down, kick them. When will I learn?

BF (not DBF) may be a sh*thead. At least he's consistent.

The other thing that's consistent is that you have a community of people here who really do care about you and your kitties. That will not change. Ever.

Krys, I know about BFs like that. I seem to attract them.
I once had a female samoyed dog that we never got spayed that had mammory cancer. The prognosis for her was much better than for humans, the vet said. We had her spayed and tne cysts removed all at one time. She did fine.

Krys - I am sorry that you are going through this. Things will get better - they just have to. sorry on the BF - what an @$$, and a s***head. many hugs to you and Kasha. She's being treated, and I truly hope this will take care of everything. We are all here for you and Kasha.

((Krys & Kasha))) I am in agreement with everything that everyone else has posted. We are all here for you Krys. Don't let this get you down, keep your head up. Don't let the bad things win.
 
She was restlessly getting up and nibbling, lying down, getting up and nibbling, lying down. Etc. I thought maybe the cypro was just having a bigger effect on her than usual. I was going to wait till +2 to test, but tested early just in case. Wow - down to 76. It feels like it must be later than + 1.8 because it's getting dark outside so much earlier which is misleading. So, she got some MC FF elegant medleys, which I think she's been hinting at anyway. She just finally figured out how to convince me to give it to her.
 
Hey Krys, That Kasha has got a good head on her shoulders! She is so smart. Just think of her when you are down. And of how much she loves you and trusts you to help her. You are doing a wonderful job. We here are all behind you.
