Good evening,
I wonder if Binie is still bouncing from her lower numbers on Sunday. I read that a bounce can last up to three days. Last night saw at least lower yellow numbers again but today she was high all day.
I think I made a plan for the time I am away during the days and one evening from tomorrow on. Over the last days I shiftet her shot gradually one hour. So I can shoot in the morning before I leave (and not earlier) and I will be back for 20 minutes during my lunchbreak at +5.5. I come back at +11.5 and have time enough to prepare the next shot.
Tomorrow I will be here during the day and leave at +8.5. In the evening the catsitter will give Binie her injection. We did that three times so far and it always worked out well. I will prepare the syringe for her, even though I know it is not recommended. I put it in a cooling box and I hope, keeping it there for four hours is fine and the insulin doesn't loose potency. I am too scared her measurement would differ to mine and I don't want to take this risk. I'll be back at +2.5, so that should work out fine. I am really happy I met her. Binie seems to like her and she always sends me a little update afterwards. She is a vet tech and she used to work with lions in South Africa, so she can handel spicy Binie very well.
I am still not sure what to feed her the mornings I go away. Last time I gave her high carb (20 %) but I wonder if it is too much. I stocked up on medium carb and I have some 10 % options she really likes. I will leave some wet and some low carb kibble outside when I leave. I will also programm the auto feeder but she still thinks, it comes directly from hell and might not eat from it.
I might not post tomorrow because my schedule is so tight and I come home really late.
Hope everyone has a relaxed and good time!
