Looks like Zener had a low pink surf all night and he's down to blue already! All good here this morning. Breezy, partly cloudy day with a feel of autumn in the air. Yard patrol completed x2, and extreme cat napping taking place. MamaLizBean did the hunt and gather at the Farmer's Market (only 4 more weeks for this year).

No one at our house has much energy today, so perhaps it's the change of seasons settling in. We noticed some of our tomatoes are starting to turn, so maybe we will actually harvest one before our first freeze. The average date for a first freeze in Flagstaff (at 7,000 feet) is 27 September.

I can't decide if I'm jealous that you guys have cold weather & season changes or happy I don't have to deal with frost biting nipping at my nose or shoveling snow. Either way, I'm a little jealous that you guys get cooler temps in Sept./Oct./Nov. ... the FALL season! Our cool weather comes in Dec. (maybe), Jan. (maybe), and Feb. (sometimes). Oh well!! Enjoy your nice, lazy Sunday!

Nice slide Z-man! Ah yes, we can but live the seasons vicariously too. I really miss autumn and even winter, at least the fun skiing part! ;-)

Nice slide into blue for Zener. Hope you get at least one tomato before the first freeze. It's cooler here today too. It feels great. I love the cooler weather.

Hi Anne & Liz, nice slide for Zener again! Do you mean yard patrol x2 = 2 poos from Zener, or is there one in there from Tillie? If so, Maggie will be really jealous. I also miss the Fall season. We go straight into winter here which is just a little cooler and our rainy season which isn't all that bad either.
Maggie delivered some prezzies today, right on schedule for Inspector Poo's report.

It feels like fall here too. Some of the maple trees have started to get a bit of colour. My tomatoes are ripening like crazy just this week. A few weeks ago I put a plastic tent over them. I just use PVC pipe in a inverted U shape, stuck in the ground, and put heavy duty plastic on top. That keeps things a little dryer and a little warmer and extends the season a bit. I usually have to pull them all out by the second week of October (our Thanksgiving). I've also pulled off any blossoms or side branches with no tomatoes. Stressing the plants makes them ripen faster. Paws crossed you get a few to ripen soon. Once the first one starts, the others are soon behind.

It's been a pinky to yellow to flat blue with a slide at the end day for the big guy. His weight has picked up too, and now we need to watch a little more closely so he doesn't gain too much. He is at a really healthy weight right now. Poo patrol spotted some digging action and deposit with the binoculars. Chief Inspector Crapdash examined the evidence by tracing the origin of the happy crap dash. A successful expedition had by all. :lol:

@Deborah & Shasta - and he stayed in the blues the rest of the cycle with a blue PMPS! Woo hoo! We love the four seasons here and don't mind the snow at all. It's wild fire prevention! :razz:

@Ann & Tess - he had a slide, then a surf, then a dip. We never really know what to expect. :twisted: There was a nip in the breezes today, so autumn is definitely here. No snow on the peaks yet, but the aspen are starting to turn!

@carla - we have paws crossed for a tomato, growing anything at 7000 feet is a challenge! Zener loves his slide and then usually chases that with a round on the trampoline. :roll:

@Ann & Maggie - yard patrol x2 means he made two turns of the backyard. There was a litter box poo this morning which we think was Tillie and the mighty Z just did his business before his shot. And now we learn Ms Mags left prezzies on schedule! It's been a banner day for the Poo Patrol! :lol:

@Wendy - thanks for the gardening idea! And to celebrate the upcoming harvest, Zener had a sky blue day! :razz:

@Amy - we were delighted to see him exit the pink floor and are loving this nice string of blue numbers. :-D

After observing the evening back yard P & P activity, I came in to get his shot ready. When I went back out, someone had left a scarf and barf. It was where both kitties had been hanging out and I wasn't sure from which kitter. So, I offered some more food to Zener, just in case, and he ate it all. So, whoa nelly on his shot time meal! :shock: Liz suggested looking for bits of pill pocket from his evening meds and I couldn't find any, so we think it was Tillie. She was eating grass this afternoon. She's been feeling better last night and today but she has not convinced us to cancel the Tues vetty appointment to check her anal glands. :cool:

The kitters are on the back patio under the porch light, preparing for some serious bug/moth hunting. I did a little work around our fence today to block some skunk access points, so paws crossed no scented visitors tonight. :shock:

WOO HOO! it is Zener slide day - love these cycles! Must be hard for you guys though.... always with the late night greens. Z-Man: surf well and early for your beans. We need our rest!

We were sure glad to see some good action as we were thinking possible dosecrease. No worries right now on the late nights since I am on sabbatical and not on a schedule until Nov 2, then I go work in the Netherlands for a month and Liz has to be BIC. :evil:
