Morning everyone. It's looking like a beautiful day from our end! Apparently that 1.25... and whatever else we did that I can't remember did the trick.

Rufus' numbers are back in the happy-shiny range this morning, although I suppose they could shoot back up whenever they wanted to. Anyway, I think - unless it's his intention to go high again - that 1.25u is a little overkill at this very moment, but I suppose we could just see what we get. I've got HC, I've got Karo, and I've got strips. Pretty sure we're good.

Going to catch a +1, etc.

Edit +1: Gave a Skinny 1u this AM - he's 205 at +1, which makes us happy as that looks NORMAL. I'm wondering if that antibiotic has had an effect or if he's just calm now... hmm. Oh well, too many variables to fuss over. I'm just glad he's feeling a little better today.

This Chicken is feeling great with a +2 of 178. He's pretty much holding steady with his AMPS - my goodness, this looks like a typical curve. AND he's swatting at Winnie from above as she passes by the ottoman (where he's lounging).

I did get a nice OUCH from the Prince Of Claws when we were giving him his bubblegum treat (... or Amoxicillin). I forget sometimes how STRONG he is! After playing with John-Finn and picking him up as if he were nothing the past few days... it really puts things in perspective. Rufus is a hulking beast... and not particularly graceful. You should see him hop down the stairs like a bunny. :lol:

Thanks, Michelle (and Hi, Mannie). I can't tell whether today's numbers are from the ABs or maybe if he's just Mooning us. ;-) Either way, I'll take it!

Rufus' +3 was 113. This looks quite a bit like 9/12, when he started at 183 and his +3 was also 113. I like it - that was a good day. I don't know, Rufus; any chance you feel like copying 9/12 for us?

I'll get my regular +4, etc. Hopefully things will stay stable all day. *crossfingers*

Nope! I talked myself out of LC. I'm just going to get another look in... I think 30min.. I'd do 15min. but I don't want to push my luck with him today.

I couldn't do it this morning with falling +12's...146 to 118 in 30 minutes...nope...couldn't do it and run out the door....

It's so tempting to try to control his numbers, but it just doesn't work if I'm trying to see what he can do on his own. Very hard for someone with OCD, lol.

"NO! Let's get out the measuring cups, a kitchen scale, a stop watch, and some graph paper... and don't forget my markers! I need to put this on a color-coded chart!" :lol:

... Ok, maybe I'm not that bad.

Hold that thought, Bee. From +4 to +4.5 Rufus' meter indicated a drop, so I went ahead and gave him just a quarter of a 3oz can of beefy delight or whatever the heck it is (FF classic). Checking again at +4.75ish

Rufus held steady for 15min. according to meter. That gives me a bit of relief - but I'm still testing again at +5.

Edit: Actually, I'm going to tack on a few minutes to that. I think I'm being silly again. If he's dropping at a more steady rate, then I'll ease up. If he's anywhere near the 40s when I check... I reserve the right to go " :shock: ". He's too far away from his typical nadir for my comfort.

Bee - you're so funny. Looks like he has a nice surf going. These numbers are scarey when they first start showing up, aren't they? been there. But I'm getting a little more used to it and I'm less chicken now than I used to be.

157, or... basically he held steady from his +11.75 to PMPS.

Rufus decided not to eat his dinner initially, so I broke out the Fortiflora, but that in itself didn't seem to do it, so I cracked open the last can of HC and spread about half a teaspoon on the large portion of uneaten food. Hopefully that food will give him enough staying power as his insulin kicks in. I wonder if I'm up for a Sleepover, lol. We'll keep watch. (Poor earsies).
