LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug want to make their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! I have to admit that they are pretty good! We are all excited that soon Rusty will be going to NYC. Lola and Bug are getting lot of pizza pies ready for the bus trip. YUM! Pies for the road! so. well. anyways.
Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!AND!!!! The CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE has been so popular that it is now part of the cheery cherry Monday line-up! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. Our weather yesterday was such a mixed bag.... Wet rains and winds, and overall nastiness, the kind that makes the radar turn red. By 2 PM the sun had come out, and we ended up with a very nice sunset. I did head on out on a hike yesterday, after much debate. It was difficult to find anywhere that would be dry for any length of time. I finally chose the one I did as I knew even if wet, there was tree-cover, and it should be OK, which it was! here is what I wrote in last night's post: "HI everyone! After a stormy wet start here we are now looking at sunshine, and a pretty afternoon. Go figure! With really ugly weather on the horizon at O-Dark-Thirty this morning the question arose: to hike, or not to hike.... the answer was YES, so then... WHERE? Really nasty rains were just about everywhere, eastern Washington looked good, but the passes to get there were a mess. SO, for whatever reason I ended up in Bellingham, at Whatcom Falls. In the long run it proved to be a great choice. The falls are gorgeous, the rains held off the whole time I was on the trails, and I found places there I had not hiked before. YaHOO on it all.... WHAT FUN! Nicholas and I have been to Whatcom Falls many many times. It is one of those spots that he can hike well, with good easy access to the creek. I cannot remember the number of leaves and sticks we have tossed off the creeks' bridge... thousands! I tossed one today for him. I watched it float, turbulently, under the bridge and out the other side. Pooh Sticks! I love the falls there - there are sections where you can walk out onto the edge of the Falls, watch it fall over the boulders. That alone is really kinda cool. I hope that once Nicholas and I start to take William that he will like it as well. Whatcom Falls also has a small fish hatchery there too. Another one of Nicholas fav stops. He LOVE to watch the rainbows in the tanks. So I did that for him too." Picassa links: Whatcom Falls, and Rainbows!, fish that is....

I love to go on hikes, since I know that when I get home that the welcoming committee will be there, waiting to dish out lots of "LOOK! Mom's HOME!!". It was no exception yesterday.
Elsa was waiting at the top of the stairs, right behind Lola and Bug. It was as if she was saying: "You're early! What's up with that?" she had the most puzzled look on her face. I was early, so much better than late. I hate being late, as then I get three stares that cut one off at the knees, and then there is that dreaded blood oath I signed that says: "I SHALL NOT BE LATE! EVER!!" so.... best to be on time... Bug was waiting in his usual spot, ever so nonchalantly. Lola was rolling on the stairs as she always does. At least this time she rolled back and forth, and not down the stairs.  Elsa and bug snoozed most of the afternoon, weather was conducive to fleece bed snoozing, so they did. Lola on the otehr hand was busy playing plant climber. I have one that stands about 4 feet tall, plant is supported by a big wood "stake" in the middle. Somehow she got in between all the leaves, and was climbing that stake. I still don't know how she did it - not easy to get in the middle of all that "stuff", but she did.... Back and forth the plant swayed.... up and down went Lola....    Never ever a dull moment with Lola. Yupp: normalcy in MusketeerVille!
Have a great day everyone! I'm uncertain what will be here today. I had hoped to hike today, but well.... the weather isn't exactly favorable. If I can find a place with decent weather until about 2 or so I may take a chance and head to the hills... Eastern Washington looks like it may pan out. Guess we shall see what unfolds here today. I am meeting my son for Breffis this morning too. We are trying a new place this morning. The cafe we always went to finally did close their doors.... We both hope this new one will be as good.
