Man, stalling on this waiting to hear from Pat. completely forgot my own post.

Woke up to see Shadow sitting beside my bed wanting some breffis. She doesn't wander the house much with her back legs like they are, so I'm hoping the methyl B12 is doing something. After we knocked off the last bottle, I got the 5000mcg bottle this time, so I hope it's beginning to work some magic. She even followed me into the bathroom once I got up and around. some head-butts on my leg. that is nice to see. it's just been a while since I've seen some of these little "cat-isms." 4/5 P's this morning, Miralax worked it's magic. She has had breffis and her +1 snack. I've decided not to call them mini-meals, I think my hand is too heavy and if I call it a snack, I do better about keeping the servings small. She's a chunkly little monkey, so she doesn't need more than a snack.

I'm know something I'm dying to tell but I learned last weekend that my anti-jinx doesn't work, so I'm gonna sit on it a little longer and I'll blab it down the line somewhere.

What is the longest anybody has had their bottle of Lantus keep working?

Nice to hear that Shadow is dishing out those little cat-isms. Good news. And a nice amps.

I've gotten 3 months out of a vial, but for me that was pushing it. I hear most people go 2 months. I've since switched to pens, and bring in a new one once a month. It was just more economical for me.

What is the longest anybody has had their bottle of Lantus keep working?

Way back when before I knew any better, I used to use the vial until it was almost used up ..about six months.. Since I joined this board, I almost always threw away my pens or cartridges at 28 days, but I've heard that's just the manufacturers recommendation and that you can actually use them a lot longer. You will know if the insulin is bad, if the BGs start to go all wonky, or if you start to see floaties in it.

Really nice numbers today, Shadow. I hope J.D. gets to meet you at The Party tonight over at Raja and Pat's Shadow's place.

we are rocking the early snacks - +1, +2, +3. then +9. Shadow gets those in the automat. works great for us, although Shadow still thinks she's dying for breffis when I roll out of bed.
