It is possible this is a bounce, but without more data, it’s hard to tell :)

Are you able to get a +2 test before bed and at least 1 more test on the am cycle? Many kitties go lower at night while we are sleeping and a +2 can tell you if it may be an active cycle. Without a mid cycle test somewhere, it will be hard to tell where the dose is taking your kitty or what is happening.

If it is a bounce, I hope he clears it quickly :)

Thanks

Thank you for your response.

I will try to get some more +2 readings. I hate to poke him again so soon, after just poking him twice. He doesn't like it. Time for his AMPS and he just went and found a hiding place.....

The testing gets easier over time and kitty will become more...open to it.

Many create a ‘testing spot’ with a nice blanket and a routine with kitty to pet, poke and praise! A treat after each test really helps to create a nice memory of the experience and eventually kitty comes at the sound of the testing equipment being set up, knowing a treat is coming!

It may seem like ‘my cat will never like it’, until they do!

Thanks we do all that..... He's just well, I wouldn't like it either..... He's doing okay with it, just doesn't like it. He tells me. We are honest with each other LOL

Ps. That was a fairly big drop from +10 to AMPS. I would get a +2 or +3 to see where squeaky wants to go today.

Looks like Squeaky is going to clear that bounce in a big way! We have solid poops (yeah) but outside the LB.

I ended up getting a bigger LB for Jones (actually it is a rubber made storage container) - it was long and low so he could get in and have more space to go. I found he went to the LB but he couldn't seem to make his legs bend or hold him in that crouching position (he did lose a lot of muscle). An idea if you need it.

Does the poop seem extra dry perchance?

Scritches.

Thanks Tracey, he doesn't have any trouble getting in the box, he goes in to pee just fine. Poop did not seem too dry, just right actually. When he has diarrhea, he scrunches up the carpet somewhere.... which he did, and the poop was fine, it was just in the opposite side of the house on the floor.

???? Do you think this is a bounce? His +3 was 439. ???? or is this something to be alarmed about? Oh, and I gave him a small snack about 1/2 hour before the BG test.

His mood is good, but he's really sleepy/droopy.

Thanks so much, Jan
