Gooooood morning! ~O) ~O)

Poopy and Mia are guarding the feeding station, hovering what few crumbs they left over night, and noisily letting me know their magic feeder has no food. Which means Poop was more than enthusiastic about being tested for his ever so yummy chicken chunk. :-D Mia watches, not thrilled with going through that hoop. Ever see a cat with an amazed look on their face as if saying, "How can you DO that?" Doubt I'd ever be able to catch her to test so she'd better not ever turn extra sweet.

Re: 9/22 Poopy +10.5 260,AMPS 313

Hope Poopy has a good cycle today, some sliding action down to the lagoon.

Mia should have a much better chance and not becoming a sugarbaby with all the food changes in the household.
Any future cats I ever have will never touch that dry "candyaddictionfood" ever.
If we had only known....

I just wish I knew how to take measures to protect the droolers....

Thank you, Rhiannan and Carla. He didn't do much sliding. Not today anyway. I sort of expect he'll nose dive when the insulin finally overrides Poopy's internal BG clock (at least that's how I'm looking at it). But I can still hope for a gentle slide downward. :-D

PMPS 253

Poopy is so funny. Being the alpha male in the house, you know everything is supposed to be about him, right? DH will purposely call Mia, the civvie, to watch Poopy come running. Poopy just can't stand for someone else to be getting the attention and has to butt in. (Side note: there's no way Mia would ever come to anyone, for any reason, unless they are in a "safe" place...then she approaches on her terms. You'd think Poopy would know that! Silly kitty.)

Thanks Sienne. Fed him his chicken chunk (raw chicken about 1/2 inch square) next to the food bowl (there's always food in the bowl until +9.5). He ate the chicken and sauntered off. I'll test again in a few minutes (20 minutes after last test).

158, ate a small chicken chunk and left feeding station. I put him back up by feeder. He ate a couple bites then looked at me, as if saying "That's not bird, Mom" and jumped down again.

20 minutes later...128. Ate his chicken chunk, turned up nose at food. At least I have some HC gravy food if it goes down too much. I know he'll eat that! ~Sigh

And all he's eaten pretty much is chunks of chicken? He's got LC in the bowl too, right?
Carl

Has a whole can of 7% in his feeder...but will only eat the chicken chunks when I test. I'm thinking he's full as they ate pretty much the whole other can earlier.

I'm trying to find his nadir on the SS, but it isn't easy to determine... He's not "low" low, so you're probably good epecially if there's 7% there should he decide to snack. The chicken isn't a "booster" so it looks like he's tapered off on his own. I'm thinking tomorrow might be the day you see a green if his AMPS is a blue number.

Carl

Thanks, Carl. Blue AMPS? That will be a first!

Poop has been taking all this in stride, laying on the bed, grooming. Not so much liking the extra pokies, though. The chicken makes up for it though.

Maybe I'll set my alarm to get up in a couple hours to check on him. I have no idea when his nadir is on Lantus. Seems he always drops around PS or just before.

Awesome idea! I was hesitant to suggest it, but since it was your idea....
