9/22 Noodle AMPS 323, Yesterday 205 at +6, is this a bounce?

Hi everyone,
Noodle had a short-lived drop to 205 yesterday then right back up to the pinks. Could you look at his SS and tell me what you think the reason is? Every time I think we've made some progress, he goes pink again. S-I-G-H. On the upside, NO KETONES for a couple of weeks now and 5Ps are all good, so very thankful for that. Thanks for any advice and thoughts and hope all your sugar kitties are having a good day :smile:

Hi Christianna.

I don't think it's a bounce, since Noodle didn't have a big drop before that. Is there any chance you gave a "fur shot" last night? There isn't much data, but from what you have, it looks like he never went down at all, and that often indicates the insulin didn't get into him. Don't worry - we all do it (my DH has given several recently ). He's coming down again today, so he obviously got his jus this morning. Hopefully others will chime in and tell you what they think. If it was a fur shot, you need to start your 6 cycle count over again, starting with this morning.

I know this is frustrating, but it does look like Noodle is making progress, even if it is a little slower than you'd like.

No ketones is HUGE!

To new and still learning to give advice.
Just wanted to say that's the sugar dance. Just when you think you got the hang of it, it does the twist.
Hang in there, it will get better.
I have had so many twists with Michael, that sometimes I feel like I'm in a knot.

I know you see "up", I see "flat". I agree with Tricia that this doesn't look like a bounce.

I'd give him tonight and if he's not in blue or green by tomorrow morning, I'd increase by 0.25u to 3.25u.

Thanks so much for answering my post. I guess I'm unclear sometimes on exactly what constitutes a bounce :?
I guess it's possible I gave a fur shot last night and didn't realize it. I always try to feel for a wet spot on Noodle's fur and/or sniff for the "Band-Aid" smell but given that he had no drop at all, unfortunately that is the most likely explanation. S-I-G-H. I'm glad for the heads-up of starting the 6-cycle count over again; I wasn't aware of that.
Thanks so much for your advice. Sometimes I feel we aren't really making any progress at all and I'm always so disappointed when he doesn't show a sizeable drop. I guess patience isn't my strong point! :sad:

Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. It seems like with Noodle's numbers "flat" is our middle name.
Tricia mentioned the possibility that I gave a fur shot and I may have, I just wasn't aware. So should I assume I did and start the 3U cycle over again?

Just my opinion, but I think he at least got some insulin yesterday or he wouldn't have dropped at all...and probably would have been a lot higher

He dropped 40 points by +2 today, so I think he got the insulin yesterday, just stayed flat and probably needs to increase tomorrow if you don't see some better numbers today or tonight

When we first started, pink was one of my favorite colors...didn't take long to learn to hate it! I'm sure you're feeling the same way about pink and yellow, but it will get better!
