Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy First Day of Fall!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Lola and Bug are very busy resting.... they say they is mega tired... and want to welcome Fall by sleeping, resting, checking out all the fleece beds. hmmmmm... might be a good idea! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... SWEET!, and perfect for a fall day. OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride.

I hope everyone had a great Caturday. Mine was catch up day, and I did get alot done, bills, laundry, shopping, all the fun stuff! I also managed a short walk/hike too, local stuff at Meadowdale. We had over cast, rain threatening skies most of the morning, but by noon the sun was out, and it turned out to be a very nice day. I think we reached 65, with sunny blues skies by 5 PM, and a very nice sunset. I really do enjoy that walk/hike. It is my back up hike when I can't get out to hike a trail somewhere. I took some time yesterday just to unwind from three days with the boys, and also to "psych " myself up to having them 5 days a week for a month, which starts this coming Tuesday. Let the good times roll! Here are some photos I took while out on my walk/hike yesterday: More Meadowdale...

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   NORMALCY IN MUSKTEERVILLE!   It was such a quiet day here yesterday for the kitties... or maybe it just seems that way since I was gone for half of it.  I came home after my shore trek to the welcoming committee - all assumed their places. Elsa supervised, Bug watched from the top of the stairs, and Lola rolled back and forth as she always does. After their greeting they all disappeared, until the clang of dinner dishes and cat fuds cans brought them running. Funny how that works! After dinner they all disappeared again! Sheshhh! What s up with that? I suspect our cooling weather, potential rains, and the arrival of fall, has activated their snuggle in the beds mode... I found Elsa curled up next to the nanners. Bug was napping on Mannie's old bed. Lola was on one of the office chairs. and so there they all remained... until late in the evening when the nighttime marathon session started, as they do every night. Elsa just shrugs it off, mutters "KIDS!" , rolls her eyes and goes to bed. Smart girl. Lola and Bug just run and run and topple together and run some more. Wish I had half their energy!
YUPP! Normalcy in MusketeerVille.

Have a great day everyone! I'm uncertain what will be here today. I had hoped to hike today, but well.... the weather report isn't exactly favorable. it seems to have changed since last night. If I can find a place with decent weather until about 2 or so I may take a chance and head to the hills... Guess we shall see what unfolds here today.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Good Morning, Michelle,
Sorry to have missed your condo yesterday. The furnace frustrations took their toll!
The Meadowdale pictures are great. You are so lucky to have this wonderful spot within walking distance of your home. Those are really dramatic cloud formations! Glad you got out yesterday, despite all the chores. I hear you on the upcoming MONTH!!! Are the other grandparents going on vacation? You'd better eat your Wheaties!!!

The kitties are in Fall mode, it seems. But that isn't putting a damper on the nighttime play of Lola and Bug!

Elsa, the Ethiopian espresso was fantastic this morning. Thank you, Kitteh Barista! Tomorrow we're going to NY City and will need your great coffee to take with us in the car. Rusty wants to be sure that you (and Bug and Lola) are coming to Kitty Week in NYC. Tess will pick you up in the Kitty Bus. I'm sure that Mannie will be watching the two young'uns to see how much they enjoy his favorite places.

Have a lovely day, Michelle. I hope the weather improves so you can go out. It's raining here, too.

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Oh wow on having the boys 5 days a week for a month. That sounds like it will be fun, but tiring.

I'm glad all is normal in MuskerteerVille. I guess they have to get their naps in to be ready to play all night.

Flagstaff is the only place we have ever lived where the seasons change like clockwork! Rain is now gone, wind has picked up and the pine needles are falling like crazy. Low tonight forecast near freezing so Liz will be covering her tomato plants. Our kitties are very low key today, they sense the change in the weather and the end of those long still nights outside watching KMCE - Rodent TV.

Always enjoy the pictures and your outdoor adventures and especially love reading Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Hey Lil Bit Pit,

It's starting to cool off here too and it's becoming snuggle bunny time. My bean changed the sheets and the bed smells yummy and is mushy comfy good. love when the bean changes the sheets.

Come on, tomorrow is NYC day and we is gonna have lots o' fun! Pack up the young 'uns and let's get ready to meet Rusty and all the kittehs, and we are gonna visit all of Mannie's favorite places. We will even get to see all our GMA friends and have fun on the set with them.

Signed Maui the Magnificent

HI everyone! After a stormy wet start here we are now looking at sunshine, and a pretty afternoon. Go figure! With really ugly weather on the horizon at O-Dark-Thirty this morning the question arose: to hike, or not to hike.... the answer was YES, so then... WHERE? Really nasty rains were just about everywhere, eastern Washington looked good, but the passes to get there were a mess. SO, for whatever reason I ended up in Bellingham, at Whatcom Falls. In the long run it proved to be a great choice. The falls are gorgeous, the rains held off the whole time I was on the trails, and I found places there I had not hiked before. YaHOO on it all.... WHAT FUN! Nicholas and I have been to Whatcom Falls many many times. It is one of those spots that he can hike well, with good easy access to the creek. I cannot remember the number of leaves and sticks we have tossed off the creeks' bridge... thousands! I tossed one today for him. I watched it float, turbulently, under the bridge and out the other side. Pooh Sticks! I love the falls there - there are sections where you can walk out onto the edge of the Falls, watch it fall over the boulders. That alone is really kinda cool. I hope that once Nicholas and I start to take William that he will like it as well. Whatcom Falls also has a small fish hatchery there too. Another one of Nicholas fav stops. He LOVE to watch the rainbows in the tanks. So I did that for him too. :-D I will post the Picassa links in tomorrow's condo.

Morning Ella - no worries! U have had those days too. I am glad though that you have your furnace fixed. it is fixed, yes? THX on the pics, and yes, I am grateful for that place. I can get to it on foot from the house, and it offers such a variety of very cool things to see. It's almost like a mini version of some of my grand adventures, and is a great alternative when winter says one cannot travel. Yes, on the other grandparents, so I have both boys all week, for a month! Sweeties for sure, for me! and ye on Lola and Bug - they are still mega busy! Weather changes and season changes have not altered that at all!   THX on today - I got lucky on my out and about: dodged the rains! :-D
Auntie Ella ! YAY!!!! NYC!!!! I so wanna see all the places that Mannie talked about. He LOVED the big city. Are we going to most of his fav places? Lola and Bug are all packed, I've been telling them all about it. They got pizzas they will amke for the bus trip.

Hi Carla - Oh yes on the boys. I am looking forward to it, but WOW, know too on how tiring it will be. Just 3 days week wears me out. I can't imagine 5! ;-) LOL on the naps: that they are: rested, and off they go!

Hi Anne - oh wow on your season change. Kinda cool though. Fall has arrived in Flagstaff! And freezing tonight? oh oh.... Oh too funny on how they sense the change in the weather and the end of those long still nights outside watching KMCE - Rodent TV. I hoe there are reruns.... THX on the pics! I so agree on the Normalcy in MusketeerVille! It's crazy, especially with Lola, but ever so much fun. A new kind of normalcy.

Maui! GF! I knows.... today it was only in the 50's! My fur is starting to get fat again.... OOOOOOOOOOO in the sheets! My bean did that yesterday. I likes it too. I am all set for NYC! I so wanna see Mannie's fav places. he talked about that all the times. And the hot dogs! I gotta have a Mannie hot dog! OOOOOO! GMA too? Seriously? SWEET! ~~ Elsa, ready to travel!

for the evening, we have the heavy rain and I'm loving it. The only falls are the water moving fast thru the arroyo's and streets.
Thanks for sending it eastward.

but alas, only indoors today.... sounds like a good hike/explore.
