9/22 Jupiter - nervous about tomorrows vet appt

Well Jupiters appt is tomorrow at 4:30pm to get the staples removed. I am so very nervous about this. I have this fear of his incision splitting open.... I think its because of the time when his old vet removed the stitches and on the way home the wound split back open and was bleeding all over me. Horrifying.

I trust his vet though - but I am still really scared, nervous, and worried.

I am also going to ask that they check Jupiter to make sure hes not constipated... really worried about that because he hasnt went poo in 3 days.

I am going to talk to his doctor and ask him if he thinks Jupiter could possibly still be in pain and if so I will discuss pain medicine.

He is eating on his own... but not enough... I will also talk to the vet about how much Jupiter should be eating daily. I am going to try to monitor the amount he is eating to make sure hes eating enough.

He will check the wound first, to make sure it is ready for staple removal. Just in case, let this vet know what happened with the previous incision if you haven't already.
 
This vet is SO much better than the last one, I'm sure he won't take them out if he's not sure it'll stay closed. You also don't want to leave them in any longer than necessary so they don't "grow in" to the skin..then they hurt worse to get out.

This is just the next step in the journey to get Jupiter healthy again, so try not to worry too much. I think we'd all be a little freaked out if we'd been through that horrible incident with the wound splitting open.
