Yesterday's condo

Been one of those worrying kinds of days....forgot I had to take DM to get her hearing aids today and by the time I remembered, it was almost time to leave! It was cool to watch her too. I don't think she even realized, but I saw her glancing out in the hallway when little noises would be made...something she never would have heard without the hearing aids, so I know they were working! Now she just has to get used to them and hopefully not lose them or break them....they are expensive!!

Was looking forward to shooting green soon, but was happy it wasn't this morning considering how long I had to be gone!

I figure China probably went into the lagoon at some point, but there's no way to know now....just follows her "pattern" lately..I'm still liking it better than it was!

Mondays are such a drag...got the whole week to get through before it's the weekend again...lol This is going to be one of "those" weeks too...Tomorrow (if I feel better) China goes to the vet (60 miles one way)...Wednesday, DM to the cardiologist (55 miles one way) ..Thursday , something..can't remember right now, and Friday, DM to get hair done and shopping

Had a horrible night last night....didn't actually fall asleep until sometime after 4am, and then had one stupid dream after another that kept waking me up...didn't feel like I really got any sleep until about 6:30-8 and then it was time to run! Makes for a very long day when you're up all night too

Nice blues for China today. If she made it to the lagoon, it must have been a quick dip.

I'm sorry you didn't get much sleep. I hope you can tonight and you're feeling better.

That's great you were able to get hearing aids for your mom. I hope she gets used to them quickly.

so sorry you had such a bad night. that is awful when you have so much to get done. long trip to the vet. how does kitty do in the car?

China doesn't much like the car ride and in the past has been a frequent barfer, but when my DM had bypass surgery last year, she seemed to do better and the last time we went to the vet, she didn't barf at all, so that's some progress.

Of course last time we went she was having her dental and hadn't eaten anything, so that might have had a lot to do with it.

The funny thing about China is in the past, when she's been "stressed" (like in the car, at the vet or in a strange hotel room during DM's surgery) her numbers have gone down instead of up. Most cats go up!

Will just have to see how I feel tomorrow before I make the decision to drive up there again so soon....of course how much sleep little Miss China lets me get will probably have a lot of impact on that decision too....she may go for a dip or she may go for the DEEP end of the lagoon

Diggin on those numbers, China! Not so much digging the no sleep....I know that feel all too well....I am thinking I am coming down with a sinus infection or chest cold (totally blaming the 5K for that), so here is to a good night sleep for both of us....

Now kittehs, don't go too low and keep your mommabeans up all night!

Jeesh, that is a busy week! Very cool on DM's hearing aids. :-D sending you lots of sweet dream vines. Time to surf, China.

Okay, China. Hold it right there. Mamabean needs to get some shut eye tonight, so you surf pretty for her. If Cinco shows up at the lagoon, would you please keep an eye on him? Don't you and Skooter go dragging him into the deep end, now!

Chris, I'm so sorry about the bad night. I have those every now and then, and sometimes I don't know what to blame it on! Very frustrating. I hope China behaves tonight and you get some sleep.

Have you ever tried Cerenia for China before a trip to the vet? Of course, if she's doing better, you don't need it. It's done wonders for Sasha, although I learned this last time that I can't give her any food that morning - even three hours before leaving.

How sweet about your DM and the hearing aid. I hope she gets comfortable with it quickly.

Sending safe surfing vines for China and sleep soundly vines for you! Also good vetty vines if you end up taking her.

I hope you have a much better day tomorrow. Sending surfing vines and safe travel vines for you as you take your precious China to the vet. That's awesome you were about to help your mom get the hearing aids. I can't imagine how much that must help someone who has lost that part in their life to gain it back! Get some rest tonight so you can start your travels off awake and focused. And China, surf sweetly..
