I got to admit I was a little concerned at the 94 this morning, but Little Miss China dropped right back down again so she's still holding this last little reduction!

Planned on getting a +9 today but made (what should have been) a quick trip to WalMart and in the parking place next to me was a truck with 2 huge dogs in it...windows rolled up, no a/c left on and it was 90 degrees with a bright, hot sun.

I called the cops..I'm sick of seeing reports in the news about dead children and pets due to idiots leaving them in sealed cars for "just a minute"......so my quick trip turned into a long one

I probably didn't make a lot of friends on the police department because I insisted that he be charged with neglect (was the worse thing they'd go for...my own feelings were "how about attempted murder"?)...but by that time I had a pretty good crowd of others who were just as upset as I was

When will people learn??

It infuriates me too..why do they have laws against it if they are not going to make them stick?!

Cheers, indeed, Chris. Once in WalMart the PA announced, "Would the owner of the red pick-up with the dog inside, please go to your truck. The Police are on the way." I'm guess whoever it was scooted out of there quickly.

I asked if they'd say something over the PA and was told "we had that happen earlier today too and the manager said there was nothing they could do"

Well then serves the idiot right that they had to deal with the police. Actually I think that is a better deterrent to repeating the behavior than a PA announcement In the store..
Inconvenience scale for totally unacceptable behaviour..tips way over on the deal with the cops side!

I considered that but with 2 really big dogs in the front seat of a truck, I was afraid of hurting them...or having them jump out the window and run off!!

Oh I don't know...I could think of some pretty good things to say on that PA!!...Like "Would the incredibly stupid idiot that thinks it's OK to lock their dogs in a truck on a 90 degree day with no a/c and the windows rolled up please try to make it to your truck without having the majority of the other shoppers beat the living hell out of you"?
