Still high. I am staying home from work today, so maybe just one snack or no snack today? Snack is about a tablespoon, but I have been giving him more like a teaspoon this past week or so. He didn't get any on Friday while at the vet. I am trying to get him back down to his nice number from yesterday morning.... Thoughts?

Re: 9/22: Cedric amps 293

I thing the depot insulins seem to work better with the mini-meals or grazing approach.

That said, each day is a new experiment, especially when multiple issues are going on. Choose an option and see what happens.

Hang in there!

Thanks for your thoughts, I was starting to think I was talking to myself. This has been continually frustrating since February and I feel like I am going absolutely nowhere with him. I did give him a small snack after his 12 noon reading (which resulted in a mess), but he took the portion meant for his brother and I think Dallas is upset with him. Cedric is still a bit hopped up on the pain meds he got on Friday so he's acting a bit strange.

My life is continually stressful and frustrating and frankly I am tired of it.

Will they graze, or do they binge if food is left out? If they binge, does freezing portions to thaw keep them nibbling?

When a kitty has multiple health issues, ones that cause them pain like the pancreatitis does, it's very hard to get any control over the BG levels it seems to me.

Keeping our fingers crossed, now that the pancreatitis flare is almost over, that he gets to feeling less pain, and you can regain some momentum with the BG's.
