Work that juice Squeaky! It will make you feel better!

You are doing great Jan!

Hmmm, he hides a lot, seems to relax more when I leave the house. Also had to chase him and sweep him out from under the sofa this morning for his insulin shot. Poor guy, it's hard making a pincushion out of him.

I know I have one of those right now, my 17 yr old CKD kitty developed IBD. It is not easy to pill her and she will run from me now.
Hi Tracey,

There are two things I'm doing to mitigate this. One is read somewhere that you have to tell a person 7 good things to be able to say one (hard to accept) thing to them. So I'm trying to give him 7 hand-delivered treats and petting sessions for each poke. Also, I'm taking him outside to sit on the grass. We have a playpen and he's very happy about it. So he has something really, really nice to look forward to. I hope you can figure out what to do to help your relationship.

I was going to her while she is in her sleeping bed and pilling her. I now wait till she is up and wandering around then take her to the "pilling" station. She hates when I take her there but now she is willing to sleep in her usual beds. And once she is done being mad at me, she will come cuddle. I don't chase her either. If I am late with the pill, then I am late...

It is getting better. Plus yeah, she gets lots of treats after.

That was a nice spot of blue last night!

I think we all have to remind ourselves to try not to be just the doctor, but also the friend we've always been with our cats.
