She popped back into the yellow yesterday. I hold no expectations of things staying the same with all the variables that could be going on with possible acro, etc….. however… She went up to 234 at +4 then she was at 211 at +7, but she unfortunately got a lick or two of vanilla ice cream from a lid that fell off the counter.… I was like “Noooooooo!!!”
It was very little, but with her condition obviously anything can throw it for a loop. I was very upset. I try to be really careful sweeping all the time, etc., but when you have a child in the mix sometimes things happen when I saw her number was up I thought… “Yep it was that two licks from the lid of the ice cream“ I wasn’t sure, but since it went back down after that, even though I was feeding her, thinking, that probably did affect her blood sugar.
She’s been really energetic. I believe in this forum people called that the Zoomies. If we take out the laser pointer, she’s all over the place however, last night she was all over the place all on her own. She murdered the box that the glucose test strips came in. She pulled it off the table and fought it from one end of the apartment to another until it was pretty well tattered. I know it’s pretty unlikely she’s going to be going into remission, but my goal is to keep her quality of life as high as possible for as long as possible I didn’t realize how lucky we got with “Chester” our sweet baby boy, who was diabetic 11 years ago. He was in remission in a little over a month. He never went over one unit… So this has been an unexpected ride.
She is Zooming as we speak.
