Yesterday's BLECH!

Good morning! A much better day today for Rufus and me. I woke up to the sound my John-Finn alarm. I don't know whether it's just his sore throat or his ordinary meow, but he sounds like a Siamese with laryngitis. It's awful. And everyone had their breffis and medicines. We're all happy... you know... and covered in antibiotics, drool, and claw marks. Naw. No claw marks - antibiotics and drool, yes.

Same as yesterday - +4, +7, +10, PMPS.

Everyone have a good one! :-D

sounds like a messy morning, covered in ab's and drool
Hope all of you have a happy and fantastic day.

Re: 9/21 Rufus AMPS 303

that's hilarious! when he's not squeaking, binks does this hoarse, raspy croak that sounds like mae west after one too many cigarettes...

it's his "i shouldnt have to speak up...you should just get me what i want NOW" voice.

have a very good day, drool & all!

Re: 9/21 Rufus AMPS 303

I hope Rufus will feel better soon....I noticed that your SS isn't updated for this morning's shot...
But this is the 11th day at this 1.0u dose....is that correct?

Re: 9/21 Rufus AMPS 303

Oops! I must have been remembering from yesterday's morning update - I could have sworn I'd done it, though. It's updated now, anyway, and yes - we've been doing the 1.00u for a while now. It seems to be working well for him "under ordinary circumstances", but maybe I should consider kicking it up to a fat 1u or something.

His best numbers seem to be in the low 100s, with the occasional double digit thrown in there, just for kicks. I'll admit I do feel very comfortable with those 100s, but he seems to feel his best when he's in the green and busy being the Dancing Queen, chasing balls around and finding "snakes" all over the house. Other than those low 100s, we haven't seen very much action on the 1.00u. I don't want to get too aggressive, with dosing, though - he seems to have pretty big reactions to increases.

Binks either squeaks or squawks? lol. Rufus has a very cute, high-pitched "mew" that he uses when he either wants something, or knows he's in trouble. John-Finn yells in that Siamese voice, or barely makes any noise at all. I really think he must have a sore throat - makes me want to go up there with chicken broth ice cubes or something for him. I wonder what he'll sound like (if at all different) when he gets over this pharyngitis. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Re: 9/21 Rufus AMPS 303, +4 379... wha?

Yeesh. It's almost like Rufus isn't really using that insulin. It's only two months old, normal looking, hasn't endured too many bumps along the way... it couldn't be going bad, could it? Now would not be a good time for that. :-|

I thought for sure today would be a better day for his BGLs... If he keeps this up should I go for a dose increase? My sensible side says not to do it just on that account, since this is an irregular period that he may come out of at any time, but my irrational side is crouched in the corner, rocking back and forth, mumbling something about pink and red... ( silly irrational side!)

Re: 9/21 Rufus AMPS 303, +4 379, +7 383

Yuck, Yuck, Yuck. That's pretty much all I have to say. Purring, doing normal things, but a lot of napping upstairs. Not a happy kitty.

Nasty PMPS, though better than yesterday's. Rufus took his Amoxicillin somewhat well, and is now walking around being Rufus... can you tell I'm not into this? I don't know what else to say. If he's high in the morning, I'm going to up his dose a hair - maybe it will be able to make a dent in his stress... infection... whatever this is. :-|
