Re: 9/21 Michael amps 396

Good morning ~O) ~O)
O.K. On 9/20 M's am cycle was: amps 266 +2 148 +8.5 317 pmps 401 What would be the nadir for that cycle:?:
I am trying to learn how to read the SS.
Paula :?

Re: 9/21 Michael amps 396 +6 311 pmps 331

nadir just means the lowest point of the cycle - Darin's right that it can vary from cat to cat. I'd say with Michael yesterday, his 148 at +3 was the nadir.

The nadir isn't the same from one cycle to the next. They can move around from one day to the next. Punkin's was pretty predictable - most cycles his nadir was at +5.5, but not always. Bounce cycles always "run over" the regular cycle, and you might not even see a curve.

The nadir is significant because Lantus dosing is based upon how low a dose gets a cat to. You want to try to catch the low point (nadir) in as many cycles as you can. Now, if you caught that 148 and Michael continued going lower, maybe getting to 125, the difference between 148 and 125 isn't going to change what decisions you make dose-wise. But if he'd kept going down after the 148 and hit 55, that might make a difference.

I'm not saying that i think he did that, i'm just trying to explain why you want to know how low a dose is getting Michael to.

Thanks.
I just tested M's #'s @pmps + 3.25 are 348 (pmps 331) don't understand why his #'s keep going up :?:
He just doesn't want to regulate. I hope I'm not doing something wrong. (I'm wearing my pretty patience pants.)
Paula I-)

with only a 17 point change in 3 hours, that's still pretty flat. he's been pretty pink all day, in fact, apparently to match your patience pants! ;-)
