Max is feeling better this morning and acting more like himself. I don't know how that will equate with his BG as the day moves ahead confused_cat . Although it has been high for him, I don't feel that is what is making him feel sick. confused_cat My gut thinks there has to be a reason for the hairballs and perhaps it is IBD or pancreatitis. The thing is he is eating well which is puzzling. I decided to go back to giving him Vets Best Hairball treats. He got one yesterday and one today. I might up it to two a day which is the suggested dose and see how he does. Another option might be pumpkin.

I tested just now before posting and he is up to 307 so the answer to the BG is still high or maybe a food spike and late onset. :roll:

Sorry Max hasn't been feeling well! Glad he is on his way to feeling better. Hoping the treats work for you guys!

Thanks for the get well wishes. I am wondering if the depot was drained too much or he is bouncing from the good numbers and if I should fatten his dose or give it more time. I'll stick with the dose tonight but am seeking advice for tomorrow morning.

Some people notice that trying to work a hairball can raise the numbers. Wonder if that's part of what's happening. The overall trend seems higher than what is normal for Max. He doesn't usually hang so long onto high numbers without seeing at least some blue. I'd be tempted to sneak up the dose tomorrow or tomorrow night if you don't see action soon. You've been at the new pen long enough to refill the depot.

I noticed on the SS that Max is now 15 lbs, 43 oz. ?

Gracie's BG usually goes up if she has a hairball. Paws crossed for Max.

Sorry to hear Max is having tummy issues. Very strange that he's eating okay. Why is it always so hard to figure out what's going on with our furbabies? It's enough to make a bean's hair turn grey!. Again. :lol:
