FABULOUS AM cycle for Mannie yesterday - nice green surf, a little low at some points, but a nice run. We have bounced through the pm cycle, ending up with a 315 ohmygod_smile this morning. I Hope it clears by cycle's end. I am off to go and am grateful for a safe numbers for me to be gone, but sure do wish it hadn't been a 315. well I hope he slowly clears this while I am out.

He's in good spirits, happy and ready to get the day going. Breffis consumed, interior patrolled. lots of purrs this morning. Hike gear has been inspected - several times since last night actually. Maybe he just knows I'm off for a bit, and gave me a traveling number. Paw is still healing - last night he was really cleaning it, tugging and pulling and cleaning - once again removing the scabbing. so of course we bled a little, but it was clean, no swelling, and despite all the injury looks really good. I will be glad when it is all healed over - he really did a number on it when he ripped out his claw. Still a little tender there.

351 @ +1 - what awful numbers, and what a bounce. ugh. well guess I don't have to wrry too much about him while I am . :sad:

Hey Mannie, Come over here today while your bean is out hiking. We'll plan the menu for the Harvest Moon Ball and go out and collect some leaves. Maybe some of the other kitties would like to come and hang out, too. Bring you numbers down (but don't dive), OK?

Guess mr. liver didn't like that great surf yesterday am. At least you can hike and not worry about him. Enjoy yourself - hopefully it isn't cold and raining. When you get back for pmps - I hope the bounce cleared and you get back to better numbers.

Thanks everyone for visiting Mannie's condo while I was gone! many many thanks! - he reads these while I gone, ya know :-D My hike today was very nice, but I am tired did 15 miles.... weather was sunny, cool at 45, but truly great hiking weather. We had so much rain yesterday - mtns included, and with that and the fog that was there from last night through the early morning it made for really muddy trails. I am caked in mud mid thigh on down, what a mess! - but what fun too! Fall colors are almost in their peak, lake was gorgeous, views very very nice. I ran into a guy who was hiking the PCT - started in mexico, headed to canada, had 96 miles to go. awesome individual. I will try and get some photos on my adventure link by tomorrow.

Stu - thanks for having me! It is such fun at your place!!! Tell Max that we are cooking up a storm, and he had better come!! Hi Pat - just saw yours... i know, not Mannie's numbers - HAHA: they used to be, but he hasn't had a pink day like this in a long time. YUCK!, and I have no clue why. guess his liver didn't like those 2 hours he spent in the low 40's yesterday. I will take your take - blame it on the old moon - gotta blame somebody! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Awww, bummer on the pinks today....but at least you got to hike with no worries!! I'm sure Mannie will clear this bounce super fast!!

"It's that Old Devil Moon . . ." Yup, that's it for sure! Hi Michelle, sounds like a strenuous hike today. Lots of mud is always fun(?). I'm supposed to hike tomorrow in the High Peaks, but storms are predicted so I might just stay home. Anyway, you take it easy tonight and put your feet up and relax. Mannie will be back to good numbers tomorrow. He and Stu had a good time planning for the Full Moon Party this afternoon. See you tomorrow.

Hi Ella! Hi Pamela! yes - a hike with no worries. Well I try not to worry about him, but I do. Ella - hike wasn't too strenuous - maybe 2000 foot gain - it was just long, and muddy (ugh!)! It is part of the Pacific Crest Trail, the national one that runs along the west coast mountain ranges from Canada to Mexico. I had hoped to go a little further - to the next junction the PCT has, as the views there are very nice... But ran out of time, and as it was barely made Mannie's shoot time. Anyways - it is a hike I try to do every fall, as the fall colors are really very nice. They were good today, but still not in full force.

Ella - hope you get to do your hike tomorrow - but know too that storms are a force to reckon with when on the trails. I don't mind drizzle and sprinkles, but do avoid the storms - they can make hiking a nightmare.

and yeah : Mannie: a 286 @ +2. hooray on that - and coming down, phew! :-D Much much better Mannie, back you go. slowly though OK - no diving!

Hey Randi - I swear sometimes that Mannie knows when I will be gone - more often than not he will give me a traveling number, one where I don't have to worry too much. usually though it isn't pink... :lol: By the time i come home and we get into the PM cycle he 's back on track. it's just uncanny how he knows.... well - it's really probably just the luck of teh draw, but I'd like to think we were on the same page.

Michelle, I think you and Mannie are definitely on the same page. One very considerate boy you have there. Either that or he stresses when he knows you won't be home with him.
 
Hi Anne! hmmmm - could be the stress. He's so mellow on the outside, very hard to know when he's stressed on the inside. could be. :-D
