Yesterday's condo

9/20 AMPS=196; +2=160; +7.25=112
9/20 PMPS=128; +2=126; +5=146

9/21 AMPS=146; +2=56; +3=54; +4=47; +4.5=65; +5.5=85; +7.25=95
9/21 PMPS=83; +1=79; +2=83; +2.5=85; +6=137

Well I have 3 things I'd like to report to you today.

1. Lucy is doing SO MUCH better.
2. Lucy got a dosecrease last night.
3. Lucy dived big time at +2 this morning. :o

I am so happy that she is feeling better now. Thank you for all your vines and well wishes you have given Lucy in the past few weeks.
This seems to me to confirm that she was unwell due to not enough prednisolone.
I'm glad I got that sorted out, finally.
Don't let me ever speak of prednisolone dose reduction.

Lucy even ate her 1st breakfast by herself, licked her bowl clean too.
She wanted her 2nd and 3rd finger-fed, but she ate really well, veggies bits and all.

Now, her +2 isn't a typo.
It's been a while since she's done this steep drop at +2 (a little over 60% lower than AMPS).
I'll be testing her again at +3 in 10 min.
(I gave her an hour because she had her 3rd breakfast at +2.)
I did give her a full dosecrease last night, but I did't expect at all to have such a dramatic effect so soon.
Maybe she's working the juice better as she starts feeling better.

It's funny, a little ironic, that her numbers seem to improve with more steroid.

I've been having to work late from home these days, so I haven't been able to visit you much.
I'm so happy I can finally visit condo today and see how you all are doing!

Sorry, it turned out that the +2 number WAS my typo. :lol:
I meant 56, not 46!!!!

She seems to have stopped dropping for now.
Her +3 is 54.
I'll give her just a nibble of LC.

Well, she did drop to 47 after all.
I gave her a bit of karo mixed with LC.
She got sick last time I used HC to steer her number, so I try without using HC today...
I really hope she's surf.....

I corrected her SS.
No, I didn't go back to 1 unit. I shot her the increased 1.25 unit.

Her +4.5 is 65.
I only added a drop of karo, and it really raised her number quite a bit, which is good.
But I'll do more sparing amount next time...

Mariko this is great so glad she is doing better.

Thanks for your help, Taz and Kalohe saw the dentist it was very bad
that other vet I will never go to again, Ko had pus sacks at back gums had 2 pulled out and cleaning
Taz had the root removed from missing canine also had to dead teeth upper back that wasn't removed on his cleaning and extraction in December. Both were in pain but are doing great now..

Hope Lucy stay's good and congrats on reduction. Linda and Lucky

Thank you for visiting, and I'm glad to hear that both Taz and Kalohe are doing better after the dental!

BTW, Lucy doesn't get a reduction yet for that 47, since she is a returning diabetes.
But it might happen pretty soon!

I think she's safe now.
I'm off to Costco.
I REALLY hope she won't bounce from the +2 dive....

I'm back from Costco.
I wanted a Magic Bullet for a while to make a baby food-ish mush for Lucy, and it was on sale at Costco.
Score!!!!

I'm going to think of a way to make Allerplex treats with Magic Bullet, because I can't find a decent all protein baby food in Canada.
I've been using tuna sashimi, but it's not really convenient ("Can I order a half order of tuna sashimi for pick up, and please do not include any wasabi or ginger in the container"), and I also have to think about mercury.
My idea is to blend almo nature into some mushy consistency, and mix a small amount with Allerplex.
And hopefully it will be similar to what Ella does for Rusty using baby food.
Lucy likes almo nature's taste, but doesn't like the stringy texture of chicken....

Great day for Lucy today! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Love seeing her in greens for so long. You were cool as a cucumber today with those low numbers. :-D :-D I hope the karo is a good solution for her HC.

You can also poach your own chicken breasts, for example, and whizz them up in the Magic Bullet. Then freeze them in ice cube trays, and put them in freezer bags. If you have the time for it, this will be cheaper than Almo Nature. I find it expensive and my cats don't really like it, but they looove real poached chicken or salmon.

Mariko, I'm so happy to hear that Lucy is feeling better. It was great of you to be patient and find out exactly what to do with the pred.

It's been a while since I shot a green preshot number last, so I'm a little nervous. nailbite_smile

I was supposed to go out for dinner with a friend, but changed the plan to eating in.
I had a hunch, so I got some food from Costco earlier today.

Wow, Lucy must really be feeling good if she ate even the dreaded veggie-bits! Good job shooting the green tonight, I hope she surfs just beautifully for you tonight :mrgreen:
