Harley stayed very high last night. Since I was not the one that gave him his shot, I cannot tell if these are true numbers for 8 units. My neighbor (bless her) comes in when I am not available. Her eye sight may not be the best so, I am not sure if he got the full eight. It may have ranged between 6-7. Anyway, I will be able to monitor him once during the day and give his evening shot. Hopefully he will get over this.

I wonder if the more insulin is because he is gaining wt. He is now 13# and should only be 10#. I am looking for a low carb, low cal food but not much luck. I have tried the Tiki brand chicken and turkey (looks like only shredded meat) but cannot get the carb level from them. They have sent all the analysis they have done but nothing includes the carbs.

Can you take an old syringe and fill is with colored water, and mark the dose line with a black marker, so she an compare what she's measured to the example syringe? That might help her.

I think there is a calculation that you can use to get the carb content, in Janet and Binkey's Food Chart. I don't have time to look for it right now, as I have to go get ready for work.

That rings a bell. I will also look. I thought I had downloaded something from Dr. Lisa about that also.

sorry to hear harley stayed high all night .. maybe this is the high before the break! Anyways, hope you guys see good numbers today!

Come on down Harley....did you test him for ketones Pattie? I don't see it noted on your SS...how is the new meter? :razz:

New meter is great although ketone strips are kinda spendy. No ketones. I do keep forgetting to post that. Will try and do better on that.

Another tough day without getting to Harley too often. Will update ss tomorrow but tonight looked pink.

Crying like crazy for food, so gave extra. Will see what he does overnight. I should be able to get a few tests done. I was able to shoot tonight - not the neighbor.
