Good morning! Thank you for the visits last night, @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey and @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) . It's so wonderful to hear from you :bighug::bighug::bighug: And it's nice to meet you @Girlie's mom!! Thanks for stopping by!

@Girlie's mom I love that your kitty thinks vitamin e is a treat! :) What kind do you use?? I'm hoping Billie will feel the same way.

Very luckily, Billie is eating better this morning! Not 100% but she ate a respectable amount of chicken and fancy feast. She actually came trotting into the kitchen and meowed at me when she smelled the chicken I was cutting :cat: So I'll keep offering that. She now hasn't had any meds except nausea meds (plus the usual insulin and inhaler of course) for 24 hours. So I'm thinking one of the new meds must have caused the nausea. Today I just want her to eat, and tomorrow, we'll start by adding the Plavix back in first and will see how that goes. I'm hoping the nausea is coming from any med but the Plavix, because that seems to be the most important.

I hope everyone has a nice day!

I'm so glad Billie is eating better. I hope she continues to eat for you as you add the other meds back. Sending prayers.

Hi Deanna. It's nice to hear from you. I've wondered how you all were doing. . I just read your condo from yesterday. How scary that must have been! Billie is one tough kitty. I'd continue the ondansetron twice a day. It can even be given every 8 hours. As Wendy said cerenia has been found to be safe to give daily so you can give either medication depending on which works better. It sounds like she needs it for now and very good that it's working.

How's your civvie?

Elise, it's so nice to hear from you! I'm so sorry about Max and sorry that I wasn't on the board to offer timely condolences. You and Max helped Billie and I so much, and we are forever grateful :bighug:

I gave Billie ondansetron this morning and will give some again tonight. Luckily we have a stash that's still good. She actually just decided to eat some more chicken, so it seems to be working.

Civvie Brooklyn is doing well, and she says thanks for asking :) She's happy and healthy, thank goodness, and enjoying a nap in the cat tree right now.

Hi Deanna! I'm so sorry about Billie's stroke, but am glad to see stepping back the meds is helping with her appy. Prayers for a full recovery. Trix may have had a stroke a little over a year ago, too. We don't know if it was a stroke or a seizure - I had heard a thud upstairs and when I went to investigate she was contorted on the floor, open mouth breathing, and couldn't get up. Whichever it was, after a couple days, she was back to her old self.

I'll be watching for updates!

I really like the plan of starting from scratch and adding the meds back one at a time. Doing too many things at once can really muddy the waters. As you say, #1 priority is making sure she eats! Hopefully she'll branch out from chicken soon, as she does need nutrients chicken doesn't provide, but for now, ANYTHING she will eat is the right food!

Sending appy vines and keeping paws crossed the Plavix will not have any side effects when you add it.

Amy, it's lovely to hear from you too! That sounds like a terrifying episode with Trixie. It's scary how these things can happen out of nowhere, but reassuring that she was still her feisty self after. I'm so grateful that Billie seems mostly okay.

I went to the pet store and stocked up on every food Billie has ever liked and a couple new ones to see if I can find something she'll eat. I don't want to upset her stomach trying too many new things, but when she has a food aversion to something, she won't go near it and we end up needing a switch.

So far, she was interested in Tiki Cat salmon, which is an old favorite. I also got some Evo dry as emergency last resort food. I gave her a couple pieces as treats and she ate them, so that's a good trick to hang onto. I could always grind it and mix it with other food. I'm going to give her another dose of ondansetron soon at PMPS and will see if she'll have some dinner after that kicks in.

Thank you all for the vines and visits!!
