Good morning LL. Zener started in yellow for a change today, just about where he was last night so flat yellow through the evening. Looks like an active cycle based on the +2 drop.

Today
09/20/12 Zener
AMPS 247, 10th cycle @1.25u, 2/3PP, 1/8 zantac, 1mg ondansetron, 1/16t miralax, 1.5oz 10%
+1 1.15oz 10%, 7 drops kidney liquid
+2 140, 1PP, 3mg Zobaline, 0.7oz 10%

@rhiannon - tooth brushing deferred last night because bean had an upset tummy. We'll try again today, and I'm with you on starting as a kitten. ;-)

Happy Fursday LL!

Nice slow down on that +4! That +2 looked like it was going to be a doozie. Have a great day Anne & Liz!

Nice SLIDE, Z-man!

Sorry to be awol for so long, just getting caught up. Brushing really does make a difference. Tess used to need dentals every year, about 6 months after her FD dx we started brushing. It's been 2 and a half years since her last dental and her teeth still look very good. Every checkup I ask about a dental and get the response "Not bad, maybe in 6 months." We use the CET toothpaste and that tiny round toothbrush. It is the ONLY one she will put up with. The video really helps w/ the slow approach to getting her used to it. I don't know much about Biotene , but here's a link reviewing it for cats.

Very nice cycle for Zener today, in spite of that drop at +2. Good luck on the tooth brushing. So far Neko has had great teeth but I really should think about doing Theo's teeth, so Zener's condo has been very educational lately.

Re: 9/20 Zener PMPS 200

Nice slide for Zener. Anne, sorry you didn't feel well. Did you try one of Zener's Pepcid? They always help me. Have a good night.

Re: 9/20 Zener PMPS 200

After the big drop @+2, it's turned out to be a routine sort of day without drama-rama, so far, woo hoo!

PMPS 200, 11th cycle @1.25u, 1PP, 1/8 zantac, 1mg ondansetron, 1/16t miralax, 1.6oz 10%

@Devon - he must have read his condo and followed your most excellent "stop the drop" instructions! :-D

@Melissa & Mr T - whew, slow is much better! He almost had a sort of flattish lantus cycle.

@Ann & Tess - LOVE the slide! No worries about being AWOL, life gets too darn busy! Thanks for the info on the brushing. We started the four week toothbrushing program today that's on the Cornell website. First week - getting used to the toothpaste. So far, he didn't run away from it on a plate, but he also didn't lick it. Thanks for sending us info on Biotene, but I don't see the link? :?

@Wendy - it was a nice cycle for Zener. He even had a nadir in the middle and came back up some at PMPS. Now, if we can get rid of those pinks and yellows. A bean can dream... We'll keep exploring our dental care options, and report on our progress.

@Serryn - Zener has his inner Aussie going on the board today. ;-)

@Carla - he looks very handome in blue.

@Anne & Maggie - well darn me, I should have tried some Pepcid!

Hope everyone has a calm, restful, drama free Fursday evening, full of head butts and furry purry cuddles. cat_pet_icon

Re: 9/20 Zener PMPS 200

Very nice day for Zener today! Hopefully it will continue into the evening. Have a great one!!

Re: 9/20 Zener PMPS 200;+2 224

Not a bad day for Zener. Hoping for more blue/green tomorrow! Good luck on the toothbrushing. Doug brushed Hershey's teeth...once...He actually was pretty cooperative. Hershey has always had a clear understanding that Doug is the alpha male. Oreo, on the other hand...well...that hasn't happened, yet...

I hope everyone is well now and y'all have a peaceful night -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

@Anne & Muffin - tonight is looking good, he's been jumping up at night lately.

@Amy - he is working on a good night too!

@Ann & Tess - thanks for this. So far, most of what I am finding is positive for using biotene. Our vet suggested only a few days a week and to carefully monitor his BG values. I think we are going to try to toothbrushing training and also the CET rinse Marje suggested. We'll see how it goes.

@Libby & Hershey too - on the once tooth brushing! Zener seems to be settling into this dose. :-D

@rhiannon - I posted the link, once I found it. ;-)

@Michelle & Mannie - it's not late for us, we are still on the same time zone as you. It's been a good day for the big guy, and he's dipping into the blue grotto to join the Manster.

Since the big guy is on the way down now, I'll get another test before bedtime to be sure he isn't going to practice his diving skills. Wishing sweet dreams to all in LL.
