Marje posted to me last night that Veraflox is for skin infection or respiratory. I called my vet yesterday after I picked it up because I had seem that in the insert with the Veraflox, she said it was a broad spectrum and also not likely to cause side effects. Shanti can't take metronidazole because it really makes him sick. I looked through my vet records and do not see clavamox but for some reason it sounds familiar and I am wondering if I didn't add it to his folder for some reason.
Shanti had denemarin, cenenia. and veraflox this morning besides his normal prednisolone, now he is acting sort of down. He had eaten pretty well this morning and besides the denemarin he had food with the other meds. The dememarin is to be given on an emypy stomach. Wonder if these have just put him a little off.
Yesterday he had these but he seemed better, of course they were not all given at the same time because I had to wait on the denemarin until he hadn't eaten in over an hour or more.
I felt so upbeat last night but today not so much. Seems as though Shantis moods are driving my own, I just hate to see him acting like he doesn't feel well.
Having a problem getting him to eat, The vet had given me some prescription food Royal Canin hyperallengenic, selectd protein. He ate some of that but I don't think that is good for him for more than a meal or two. But I am wondering if I should pick up a few cans from the vet just in case he won't eat his regular food.
What does anyone think?
