Good Evening L&LL,
Rusty is doing much better with his breathing. This morning he woke me up with kisses, ear licks and head butts AND, PURRS! It's the first time he's been able to purr since his pneumonia. I think some gunk must have gotten out of the purr place. He also chased some grasshoppers and moths on the lawn. His appetite is so-so, but at least he's eating. Instinct Duck is no longer enjoyed, but he's still eating Rawz turkey and Rawz chicken. And the "July 2019" dated FF T&G seems to be particularly good. I searched the shelves today and got some more of those before they head on into "August".
We've been watching the Ken Burns Viet Nam series on PBS. It is horrific! And so much was kept secret during the early years of the war that we never really knew the background of the American involvement, or how many select troops were committed before the general drafts began. All of my childhood friends--the boys I grew up with-- were caught up in the draft. A few were killed in 'Nam, including the little brother of one of my best friends. He lost his life the first week he got there. What a terrible waste that war was. Many of us marched against the war at every opportunity. I still have all my Peace buttons.
Time to go down to watch the next installment and to hold Rusty's bowl while we watch. bbl,

Sorry to hear that he had pneumonia, but I'm glad he's feeling better. I'm always checking the dates and lot numbers on canned food too, because Billie can definitely tell the difference
