All is well in the neighborhood today...so far, at only about an hour of awake time in!
Polly continues to evolve. My nasty torti has the ability to intimidate with just a look, even from a distance. She gets on the bed, everyone else flees. Even I'm tempted to scatter to a corner sometimes. Last night, Polly's up by my pillow chirping for scritches; here comes Rowsie. About a foot away, giving "the look." I expect rapid flight from Polly and a wicked smile from Rowsie.
Nope. Polly looks back, takes a scritch, and settles even more firmly into the bed. Hey, Row, after what I've been through you think I'm scared of you, you twit? I'm staying put; this is my bed, too! And each time I awoke during the night, Polly was still by my pillow. Rowsie was still steaming about a foot away. The times they are a-changin'.
I'm hoping the slight drop in numbers after the pen switch answers the pinky questions I had yesterday. We'll see. Now I've got to scurry for another box of pens; opened the last of those I bought last May for the PM shot yesterday. (yes, Wendy, I suspect the inconsistent temperatures from cooler to refrigerator to cooler might have killed the pen, plus I only had about two draws left in it.)
Thanks for all the visits yesterday. Another great picture Anne. Crystal ball. Yeah, right!
Vines and wishes....and I'm so glad it's the weekend. And next week, everything should be back to normal. 'Cept for Rowsie, that is.
