Recap from last night
PMPS 69 fed 1/2 can 5%, 1.75u shot
+1 81 fed 1/4 can 5% w/1 tsp 10%
+2 74 fed 1/4 can 5% w/1 tsp 10%
+3 87 dried chicken snack
+4.5 85 fed 1/4 can 5%
+6 85 dried chicken snack
+8 NS fed 1/4 can 3%

Looks like he was doing pretty good at surfing so +6 was my last test. And of COURSE I wake up to a nasty pink AMPS, but I'm not going to let it bother me....nope, not at all. It's just a number. I just wonder when Lighting is going to start figuring out these low numbers are good and that his body doesn't have to overreact and blow up the next morning....is there a "typical" amount of time it takes? I know ECID, but is there anything I can use as a guide?

Re: 9/20 Lightning AMPS 346 - question....

I will leave the answer to your question to someone else.... (I was going to write that typically it takes anywhere from 2 months to 2 years, but that's NOT what you want to hear, is it?)

come on down Lightning....don't liner up there on that pink floor....you have work to do boy!

Re: 9/20 Lightning AMPS 346 - question....

I too can't answer that... we've been at it for a little over 2 years now - again probably not what you want to hear. :-D ECID is so true.

Awfully nice day for Lightning yesterday. A pink bounce today. I hope it clears quickly! Come on down Lightning - we all know you really liked those greens yesterday. I hope you guys have a great day today.

Re: 9/20 Lightning AMPS 346 - question....

Ok, ok, that's what I figured.....just was hoping maybe there was some statistic out there that could brighten my day. Oh well.

So I have another question though....I forgot to put this in the beginning of my condo for some reason but Lightning has had this weird front leg shake thing, its not really a shake, its like he'll be standing and then it looks like the leg gives out a little bit but then goes back to normal. My sister actually noticed it BEFORE he was diagnosed with the diabetes but it didn't happen very often and I actually forgot to mention it when I took him to the vet when he was initially diagnosed. But last night around +4.5 is was both front legs and it was happening enough for even my BF to notice and I was freaking out! I've read on here that some cats have hind leg weakness (some neuropathy or something) but there's no mention of front leg weakness. Has anyone had this with their cats, should I be worried/get it checked out?

Re: 9/20 Lightning AMPS 346 - question....

I don't have first hand knowledge of anything like that Pamela...and while people here might give you some suggestions in the end, the vet is your best bet....maybe give a call....

Re: 9/20 Lightning AMPS 346 - question....

Sorry Pamela.... I'm not that helpful... no stats re: bounce for you.... All I know is that it happened to Tizon just like magic... The good thing is that bounces clear and Lightning gets right back into nice colours!
I also don't have an answer re: the front legs issues, but I suggest that you cross-post on Health to see if someone can advise more than 'go to the vet and have it checked out'.
I hope the bounce is short lived.
