Good morning Extra sweet Kitties and Beans! Yesterday's climb
I sure hope we get out of those pinks today and at least into the yellows...MAYBE he'll just surprise me with a blue! Sure would love that!

AMPS 309

KT graduated to the ULTRA thin lancets as long as his ear is warm. The 29's are now causing a blood flood instead of a drop. Don't need THAT much.

Morning guys! Come on down KT, the yellows and blues are so much more fun. Good luck with the new lancets. We use 33 gauge... works well: just the right amount of blood. I hope the new ones work well for you.

Take a peek at Boo's SS. We'd pop a blue or green once every blue moon and then immediately march right up the ladder to the pink world and bounce around for a few!

Ok KT we would like to see you in some nice yellow numbers soon...Since you are so new, it does take some time & trial & error to get to the right dose. Please ask if you need the patience pants :lol: :lol:
Patience & consistency is what wins here..I think KT gets a blue & bounces back into the 300's as his body isnt used to the low numbers..This is normal so no worries here--You are on lantus a short time..so let's see where he goes with this--You are doing such a great job!! And with all the animals you have too!!

I got busy and forgot to post KTs +4 and +8's...at least we're wearing yellow consistently today.

KT has flinched his ear away from me for a day or two but thought he was just being fussy. This afternoon, I see a white bump about heavy 1/4" from the edge. I thought it was an infected hair and used one of the small lances to try to drain and clean it. It seems to be hard instead but he doesn't want me to mess with it. This isn't where I 'poke'. I shined flashlight thru and looks like a tiny black spot inside like maybe a splinter.

I also DID notice there's a scar ridge building up along the testing area on the usual ear...is this normal?

Roni - I think you're right....I just want him to feel better YESTERDAY!

He is dropping nicely tonite--Patience Grasshopper It will all fall into place....You'll see @-) :razz:

We'll close out the day with a PMPS of 334.

Those 100's seem to terrify his poor body but he was SO high for SO long - I'm fairly sure for 3-4 months before diagnoses but he's been a huge peehead since a kitten. Even as a kitten, he spent huge amounts of time at the water bowl and flooded the lb. We always thought it was just KT 'cos everything else was always perfectly in place...all 5 P's all the time. This time he lost weight big time or we wouldn't have necessarily put the thirst/urination down as abnormal.

Good evening!! Tarragon had a hard time in the 100's in the beginning. He was also very high (500's) for a few months I suspect. It took him a couple of months to get used to lower numbers again. Hang in there! You are doing great and KT is getting better every day!
