9/20 Hexie 1st Curve AMPS 293, 168 +2, 74 +4.5, 95 +6.75, PMPS 353, 350 +2.25

Hexie is doing well. I am doing her best first curve on Lantus today. It is way past a week on 2.75 and I wasn’t able to test as much due to my health. I didn’t catch any more drops below 90 but today already got a 74 today.

Since she already earned a decrease do I still need to finish the curve? She is starting to hid from me in places hard for me to get her. That’s why my last test was late. If so I can still try to do extra spot check or two, above the minimum 3 I already do.

She was still some big highs. Was she bouncing and I was just not catching the lows? Is she still getting used to the new insulin and the depot type?

Just did another and she is going back up, 95 +6.75.

Since on the way up I’d test one more time in an hour to make sure still up and stop. Congrats on the reduction. Her new dose is 2.5.
Yes. The highs are due to bouncing. Today is a bounce clearing cycle. Nadir is often between +5-10 and done nadir at preshot while others earlier. That’s why spot checks are helpful.

I’m so sorry I didn’t get that BG. I did her PMPS, was 353 and did her 2.5u shot. I will get a +2 BG.

Just bouncing again. No worries about nit getting another test. Clearly she didn’t go lower.

Her +2.25 was 350. I am going to try and sleep. If I’m up later I can try and get another BG reading.
