Checkers didn't want his Wellness Turkey again. Had to sprinkle Fortiflora on it. Susan gave me a dozen cans that her cat wouldn't eat, so I can't even return them. Civvies don't like it either. Thank goodness for flavorings. :smile:

He foiled me this morning, by already being in the cube at +2. That was a struggle, as I tried to get blood from right ear, and only his left will give it up.

He did gymnastics in the cube, trying to avoid me. I tried to just dump him, but he turned into a contortionist, and refused to be dumped out a hole. :lol:
He has a way of always turning my annoyances into laughter :-D

Hi guys .. nice drop checkers! But, you need to be good for your momma when it is time for spot checks .. even if your being naughty cracks her up :-D have a great day!

Hmmm, I gave Checks Meow Mix w/gravy at the 52@+4. Hour later, he was 5 points lower.. (basically the same)....weird.

So at the 47, I gave the rest of Meow mix food......he had licked off the gravy already.....with a couple drops of honey.
He soars with same amount of Karo, so after Sienne explained the difference, I'm gonna try honey, on Checkers.

I found he likes Hartz Hairball glop. He refuses all others I've tried.

eta: Ooh, nice slow rise to +6 :-D

Nice! Well handled! We use honey for Tess, a couple drops usually raise her up 20 points for about 2 hours. I'll have to go look up what Sienne said about honey vs. karo. We always used honey, 'cause that's what we have. :roll:

Very nice numbers for Checkers today. He's feeling spunky! Interesting experiment with food and honey - it's a nice gradual rise.

Well, your day certainly wasn't boring!! Interesting about the honey. It stands to reason, however, since Karo is corn syrup, and we all know what corn does to our kitties. Bees make honey; even Monsanto can't do that! I'll have to look up Sienne's post, too (missed that one).

Enjoy the evening. Put your feet up. Checkers is running you wild these days!

Looks like you had a busy day Barb. Nice to see Checkers in the lagoon. He probably thought it might be nice to spice things up from all the yellow your used to.

Nice day for Checkers! I know the cube activity is annoying, but it sure sounds like something you need on video! :lol: :lol:

Why can't you return the unopened cans of food? I returned some to Pet Smart without a receipt...well, I exchanged it, but pretty much the same thing. Wouldn't hurt to try it if you can't get them to eat it.

I'll have to go read the honey vs karo discussion. I never have liked using karo, but it's on top of the freezer - just in case! I read that honey is good for asthmatics - a teaspoon a day, so wanted to try it for Jessica and me. Problem is, most of what we buy in stores isn't real honey. Found a list online and, sure 'nuf, what I bought was on the list. I think I'm going to go with local honey. Ticks me off how easily and often we get ripped off!! But, that's another soapbox...
