Never thought I'd be happy with a yellow PS but I'll take it (for right now). AMPS 292 shooting 3.0u

Boomer got me up twice last night and this absolutely has to stop. At 2:00 +6 I stirred his food, made sure he was eating it, and went btb. I don't think he ate much after I left him, there was still quite a bit in the auto feeder this morning. At +9 he got me up to give him more food. sigh.

Allen ate well overnight and also ate his 7 chicken pieces.

Last night on our local news there was a brief story about how having a pet can be good for you but how having a sick pet can cause you stress. Really? I wonder how much this study cost?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Lots of issues going on with Allen right now. Weight loss, ionized calcium is back up (although not as high as before), hypoglycaemia (yeah you read that right, go figure), vomiting (not a new issue). Dr Larry wants to send him for another ultrasound but DH has already said that he won't put Allen through surgery to remove a mass. sigh What was that about stress?

On the agenda for this Bean today: early lunch with a friend then a couple of errands. Other than that, editing the large family I photographed with the 2 miniature horses on the weekend.

I'm so sorry to hear Allen is having a tough time. I wonder if it might work to spread out Boomer's food in several small dishes in different places in the room. Just something different that might get him to leave you alone for a few nights. I've found with Sam that sometimes novelty will get him to settle down when he's getting too demanding.

Do we get to see miniature horse pictures?!? That sounds adorable!

It's funny because I always used to have trouble getting Boomer to eat his +3....I always give him turkey pate and he didn't seem to like it. About a week ago he seemed to want the dish moved so I moved the auto feeder to a new location and he's been eating his +3 on his own ever since:rolleyes: I always add a wee bit of water to his food because he doesn't drink and it seems like he eats part of the +6 then needs it stirred up so I'm going to not add water to it to see what happens. PS he eats his daytime +6 fine with water:rolleyes:

Endless prayers for you and Allen. I'd consider the ultrasound, even though I can understand not going through with any sort of surgery. The ultrasound still may give you some sort of answer and/or non-surgical direction. It's a tough call, though....more prayers.

We've had a lot of trouble with Zen keeping us up at night lately, too. I've developed a new tactic which has sort of been working: Instead of going up to bed while he's awake, I do all the bedtime procedures (dishwasher, turn off lights and TV, final kitty snacks), and then sit on the couch in the semi-dark with him. He sits on me for a little bit, then moves to his own spot and falls asleep - anti-jinx, for the rest of the night. It gives me a bout 5-6 straight hours of sleep, rather than 3-ish. Anti-jinx again, it took a little while to get him into this pattern, but so far it's working...

I won't go on a rant about some studies....you made me laugh with this one Judy :p:p

Yellow is a better start Boomer, how about a nice easy walk to the lagoon buddy. Be a big boy and eat your night time fuds without waking up mama bean please. My cats boss me around all day long so no advise on how to get him to stop doing that again. Seems like he goes in spurts with it:banghead:

So sorry Allen is having these issues:( Do what you think is best. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Happy to provide the amusement for the day lol

He does go in spurts with it. And of course at 2:00 am when I'm trying to ignore him I start to think "oh what if he's going lower he needs the food I'm going to wake up in the morning to find he's been hypo...." blah blah blah so then sometimes I test him when I get up to feed him and he's in the 300s lol :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Judy, I too had to laugh about the sick pets causing stress part. I sympathize with your lack of uninterrupted sleep. It's not a laughing matter and detrimental to all of our health.
You have a lot on your plate, and prayers things start to settle down there
