It's looking like a failed dose but I'd like to hear others opinion. Should I increase? I can monitor to +3 then back again at +5 then back again at +7.

Re: 9/2 Zener AMPS 448 ATrak dose help

I think this is more bouncing than a failed reduction. If you look at the pattern, there's some blue and then a bounce into pink/red that lasts for about 48 hrs. and then the pattern repeats. Remember, a bounce can take up to 72 hours to clear. Pull on those patience pants!

Patience pants came off (not my strong suit) and I gave him the 1.25u.

Liz:

You might want to take a look at Tableau's condo from Monday. There was a discussion of raising the dose when a cat is bouncing. I think Jill's posts (vs. mine) contain a great deal of very good information.

You might need to get some extra tests in today.

Sienne: thank you for the link. I was wondering about that possibility. I will take a look and will test +2 and +3, then back at +5. Anne is also monitoring LL from Germany.

Happy Friday!

Later: OK, I read over the discussion on Tableau's condo once (will need to reread). Patience pants are definitely in order.

I didn't feed him just now as he looked at me and said "Don't even think of sticking some food in my face." He's not a big morning eater anyway and he's already had a couple of ounces so I think he's OK for now.

This seems like a fast drop. I have to leave and will be back in 2 hours for a +5. He is eating well so that should help.

Smokey: this is Liz, Zener's other bean, filling in for the week while Anne is in Germany. So I am the Bean In Charge (BIC). I don't know if that is an official LL acronym but I like it. Thanks for stopping by!

Maybe Zener is ready to surf in the yellows today. That would be a nice change. He actually finished a can of fud! I did explain to him yesterday that fud was how he got energy to do things that he liked to do, like prowl around the yard and that it would help him get better.

We are off to acupuncture treatment this afternoon. This is the 2nd one. The first one seemed to help but we weren't sure so asked our pet communicator to talk to Zener. He said it did help and cleared some blocked energy so the insulin was more effective. His appetite improved too. He thought 3 in total so will schedule another one in two weeks.

Just got back from the vetty where Zener got an acupuncture treatment. Maybe his BG is a little high because of the stress?

Re: 9/2 Zener AMPS 448 +1 361 +2 380 +3 293 +5 284 +11 375 A

It could be a reaction to the stress or a result of the fast drop out of the 400s.

Hi Liz:

I know the high numbers can be frustrating. Although Gracie "normally" clears her bounces in a cycle or two, once in a while, she decides to take longer and I am always wearing holes in my patience pants when she does. ..and then I am glad I waited because she comes down.

You're doing great...I know it's tough with one person when normally there are two. Tell Anne hi for us!

Zener is acting pretty perky. He asked to go into the closet where he has a secret place to sleep.
