hi everyone here.
well ...... i will get a plus 6 reading tomorrow morning at 6am for the 2nd half of the shot cycle and then another
mid cycle after his noon shot tomorrow. He is "almost" off dry food but cursing me out every day. lol The zero carb young again is scheduled to arrive friday so hopefully that will help. no ketones and he is a happy happy kitty so i am going to hold the 1.5 until i get him totally off the dry. that should happen by this coming weekend. He is only getting a few pieces when i go to work and he has started to eat the wet soupy food so we are almost there. I am hoping that the transition to all wet will drop his numbers significantly. i'm not going to change anything until we are off the dry totally.

With a history of DKA, I'd want to get Tibbs out of those high numbers sooner. I think you have room to increase Tibbs to 1.75U tomorrow, then you can reduce him if the numbers off dry food warrant it. Besides, it sounds like he's not getting that much dry food now anyway.

i know, i worry about that too. i do test him for ketones every day and they have been negative but yes thank you he does need to go up. i was hoping the food would bring his numbers down. i read that even a little could raise his numbers a lot. thanks so much for your quick reply.
