Yesterday = yellow.

Yesterday I only used 4 strips. With Neko on Lev, if she's yellow at PS, nothing much is going to happen, especially if she's just high and not bounce clearing. So in addition to getting sleep, we also got blue this morning. :-D :-D

Neko is still 80-90% of normal Neko in her interest in food. She's first in line when I'm prepping, and I'm getting some mews. Still trots off eagerly to her dish, but she eating very slowly (for her) and leaving a bit in the bowl. Which she'll eat when I present it to her 10 minutes later, as long as I fend off the civie. Acupuncture vetty appointment early this afternoon - I'll see what she has to say before deciding if Neko needs another appointment with her regular vet.

Better, Neko. Better. Now just work for the 10% to 20% you've still got to go. You can do it.

But better is good. And blue beats yellow.

Vines for the acupuncture visit. Hope you get some answers.

Yay for a blue PS. I'm glad Neko is showing interest in her food. I hope the acupuncture appointment goes well.

What a nice flat morning for Neko looking good little one. I am glad that things are slowly improving for her. Good luck at the acupuncture appt today.

I hope this weather system we have has not reached you. one minute it's rainy, the next sunny, then rainy, then sunny. crazy!

Much better Neko numbers today. Acupuncture vet did the usual but also spent some extra time on the bladder points. She was thinking like me that a UTI is possible. She did try getting urine via cysto first, but Neko wasn't letting go. :roll: Side note, first time I've been present for that procedure - me, the bean who used to faint at blood. :oops: Vetty originally didn't want to try cystostentisis because it means putting kitty on their back and with Neko's arthritis that can hurt. Acupuncture came after that - interestingly enough the spleen (vomiting) and bladder points were a little inflamed. I'd noticed that part a bit swollen when I did the acupressure the last few days, but of course didn't know what it meant.

Vetty sent me home with NoSorb to try to get a urine sample. Not as good as a cystostentisis but she said if there are elevated white blood cells in the urine then it helps to tell if the bacteria comes from in or outside. The alternative was to leave Neko there for a while or go back tomorrow. Another interesting comment, urine C&S on beans is done from free catch. By some miracle, I actually managed to get a sample a little while later.

Neko was feeling pretty good after getting back home. She was up to tricks - trying to get her +9 snack early, scratching the carpet on the stairs. :roll: Her +9 snack went down the hatch with a clean plate. Sorry Theo. :lol:

@Liz, Marilyn, Carla, Elise, Michelle, Josie - thanks for stopping in and the vines. Vetty appointment went well - I like the combo of training in Eastern and Western medicine. Neko's back out in the solarium, seems to be good so far. Next test is PS dinner. Michelle - no mixed up weather here, just rain. :lol:

I'm glad that Neko is perking up. Sometimes they just have bad days, just like we do. Rusty is in a "rest day" mode now, too, weather-influenced, I think.

I am so glad Neko's numbers are looking much better today as I know she doesn't feel so good in higher range.
And I'm glad she's feeling better after the acupuncture appointment.

We haz CPC! :-D :-D She's definitely feeling better after the acupuncture appointment. More mobile, bratty asking for dinner early. :cool:

One thing I forgot to mention at the vetty today. Dr. H started writing in the file, then realized it was the wrong one. Another Neko cat with same last name at this practice. How unusual!

@Ella, Mariko - Thanks for cheering her on. She is feeling better in blue. This is the 5th day of feeling off, so it sounds like something else at play. Just wish they could talk.

@Rusty - I'z sharpenin' the knives on the carpet tonight. Bean's not impressed. Lookin' forward to the fish. ~Neko
 
Keep telling all the pros of lev and those of us on the fence may join you. I hope nothing else is going on but you know her well so go with your instincts until you and your vets figure it out. :YMHUG:
 
Just had to check on Neko before I hit the sack. I'm so glad she is doing better. I hope you get the urine sample so they can verify.

Almost normal Neko numbers :-D
 
All of her meals were CPC this evening and she demanded her last one. :cool: I'm officially a fan of acupuncture now.

@Elise - Each cat on Levemir is ECID. I'm lucky that Neko likes to be mostly flat and has more easily discernible patterns than she did on Lantus.

@Marje - Small container of the good stuff is in the fridge. :cool: :lol:
 
Yay for CPC and blue numbers. I'm glad Neko is feeling better. Bratty is a good sign, especially when asking for fuds! :-D

Sending more good appy vines, and good vines for the urine test.
