Merlin this morning 201 (AlphaTrak). Guessed he might be a little lower than normal because he was super hungry. I was planning to do a BG curve today. Should I give him any insulin? Wait an hour and check again?

Hey there, if you can monitor and have plenty of supplies, test strips, and higher carb food, I would give the insulin.

Going with the BG curve and monitoring each hour! Starting to get low at +3.

Merlin hypo at +4. Given him some treats and dry food. Sigh.

Good thing you did the curve today. Now you know that dose is too high. Congrats on the reduction to 0.5 units.

How is Merlin acting? NormLly we consider this just low numbers, unless he's showing signs of an actual hypo.

He seems fine, not running around or anything, but not laying around lethargic either.

He came back up to normal, then of course by dinner time he was up in the 300s again lol.
