I so like yesterday's cycle(s)! :-D :-D :cool: The AM was a great mid to low level blue, in the evening we made green - prefect! :mrgreen: what a great past couple of days the Nanner King has had. :razz: I am grateful to this kitty who has taught me the art of patience.... that sometimes marathons can be as exciting as sprints... that the saying he has over his bed is true: patience grasshopper... the end result can be so rewarding,. Great couple of days Mannie - it has been fun to watch it unfold. LUBS ya big guy!! cat_pet_icon now if he can just keep on doing this..... paws crossed! I know.... patience grasshopper. :razz:

I have updated the lab results for Mannie's recent BW, and vetty visit. The new results are in the link in my signature line. The BW looks phenomenal, at least to an uneducated mind, like mine. :lol:

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D Mannie loves it now when DGS comes to stay the day... he knows the fuds routine.. he knows the small bowls that DGS uses... he know that in one of those small bowls is the bestest tasting chicken or turkey that he has ever had... So he waits and waits and waits until he gets the green light... then it is a beeline to that bowl: licked clean. totally clean. so clean that it shines. so clean that I question the need to wash it. :lol: :lol: :lol: you gotta love it. We only had half a kitty choir this morning: BJ. I am soooooooooooooo glad she showed up, my back up alarm... 20 minutes late was the bean. :o :o We made up the time though... all those bellows from the others got me moving. :razz: We had a great test feed shoot, with so many purrs from Mannie. I do enjoy that one on one time with him. He is so good about the whole process, never ever gives me any grief. This AM we sat for a few extra minutes, gave out scrtiches and pets. Much to the dismay of the others who, by this time were impatiently waiting... and bellowing, and whacking, and being obnoxious. I love it when Mannie glares at them when they are in the midst of these antics - they stop! :lol: :lol: :cool: Breffis was inhaled once again this morning, clean plate club status intact. All three of them, now satsified, have retired to their napping spots. Normalcy in MannieLand, life is good.

DGS duties for me today, and then I am off until Wednesday :-D :cool: .... Hopefully today we are off on another adventure, providing Mannie gives us a permission slip - paws crossed! :razz: I know that I probably won't get to condos, but know that I am thinking of you all, and your furkids! THINK GREEN KITTIES!!! Healing vines to all our sick kitties who need them.

MY FRIENDS!!! BIG weekend! Party at Attie's! fishing in the' mighty Rocky River again! Fresh caughts fishes on the fire! hunting in the woods for chipmunks to add as appetizers, and crayfishes and fresh water river muscles too. oh yum!! and **SWOON** - grillin' all weekend long!! So... I gots the bus all ready to go, prepped and packed and everything! This will be so fun. I hear that Gary is fishing for those big catfish again. :shock: We's gonna need a BIG grill! I dunno if I can wait until Saturday.... we needs something to keep us busy til then! but what? See you guys later?~~ Mannie

And completely OT: photos form yesterday's adventure with DGS below. We went to an inner city lake here, about 10 minutes from my house, It is small, but the trails are nice, lake is inviting... we had a good time. That little guy sure does love to be outside. In last night's PM cycle post there are a few photos from the previous days adventure... i neglected - well forgot - to post them in the morning... anyways, below are photos from Scriber Lake in Lynnwood.

I'd ask the vet why Mannie is spilling protein in his urine. Also, why is there blood in his urine (unless they did the UA via cytocentesis). Could he have a UTI brewing?

Sounds like another great day of numbers for Mannie. Almost green already!! When I get Rusty's lab reports I'm going to look at Mannie's. I haven't a clue about these things, either. Sienne gives good advice and I would follow up on her question about the urinalysis.

Is this baby food turkey you are referring to? I'm thinking another kind of treat for Prince Checkers, that I hadn't thought of. I still test a time or two daily, and don't like giving tuna every time. He loves turkey.

Isn't Sienne wonderful? She doesn't miss anything :-D

Boy, you sure do live in a beautiful area. I love your photos. :-D

Morning Sienne - I will ask about that. I do need to go up there this afternoon and drop of Mannie's fecal sample, and will ask her then. I noticed it when I got the results yesterday, got too wrapped up in BJ's stuff to call them.... :? In all events Mannie goes in for a dental on 9/21 and I can always ask for another urine test then. Granted that is three weeks out... :roll:

Hi Ella - I know on the labs... I can be so clueless, so I am grateful for people like Sienne who point then out. I will check with them and see what they say, as the last time we had this he did have a UTI in the making... and yeah for today!! love the green. DGS and I will do local stuff today - off to the shore, once I am sure Mannie is on his surf board. We have the normal marine layer this morning - with hints of blue sky - it is supposed to get very nice: mid 70's! :-D

Hi Barb - The fuds referenced is baby food. we have Beech-Nut brand. You'll need to read the labels, as some of them have onions, and corn starch.... Mannie just LOVES the stuff! Kudos to you for still testing... one can't be too careful, and I know I wouldn't want any surprises. I'd be testing too... and yes on Sienne - I am grateful for people like her that do look at stuff like this... -- and : many thanks on the photos!

Hi Roni - me too on the tests... one item to talk to them about, but over all: awesome stuff! :-D :-D and oh yes on the forest thing! I do love that part of this area - it is all within an hours drive. YAY!!

Hi Julie - yep, w will be out in a few - once Mannie is for sure on his board, and a lingering marine layer clears a little.. ah heck on the clouds - we go anyways. I had to look it up too. The tsunami warning was just for the Aleutian Islands and has been cancelled. The earthquakes in Arkansas are suspected to be related to injection wells. Over 700 in the last 6 months!!!

Wow!!! You can't get much better than this, can you?!!! Way to go, Manster!!! It's so nice to hear that Mannie likes having the DGS around, even if it's only because he gets to lick the yummy food bowl!! Food...the great motivator!! Lovely pics once again. You just have to rub my nose in the fact you have all that green right down the road and all I have is miles and miles of brown!!! :lol: :lol: Have a great day!!

Hi Michelle, wow another awesome day for Mannie. I'd say he is really on a nice green roll, anti-jynx. The pictures are beautiful, and Nicholas, as always, looks so adorable. I guess Mannie didn't give you a permission slip, or did I miss reading where you're on a hike. You live in a beautiful area with all the hiking trails, lakes, streams, just gorgeous!

Hey Mannie, don't forget to make a swift advance towards that chicken bf when DGS and your Bean aren't lookings. Bring some for us today, too, Maggie

Mannie is churning out great, great, great cycles on his "new" dose which isn't that new anymore. Good boy!! I would have the same question as Sienne. Even a "trace" of protein in the urine needs to be checked. It's kind of odd since his kidney values are excellent. I noted they will recheck at his dental....he probably needs a protein/creatinine ratio done.

Great photos again....lovely hike and so glad Nicholas loves to be outdoors...how could he not?

Mannie...Tobes already left to give Tarragon a welcome home massage and then help Gary haul fish. I'm making bunches of drinks (if my bean would quit poking me so much!!). See you soon...great weekend party at Attie's stacking up!

Hi Marje - good boy indeed! and yeah, guess we can't really call it a new dose anymore... what is it now?: #47 I think. and yes too on the protein in the urine. they ran another test today, a urine microalbumin, but the results are greek to me. I'll wait for the vet to speak english... we did talk about the protein/creatinine ratio test if this one today is inconclusive. AT any rate, it will be rechecked when he has his dental on 9/20. The last time we had protein and blood in his urine two weeks later he had a really nasty UTI. so... we will try and stay on top of this. --- thx on teh photos. It was fun - they all are. Shore and the beach today. Sand is so yummy when you are 8 months old... shesshhh!

Hi Ann, and Miss Maggie - oh I know... i am ever so glad. thx on the photos. Mannie was a little reluctant to give out the permission slip today, and by the time he did it was just too late to really go anywhere. which is really OK. We go to the local woods and shore then, and DGS can play in the sand if he wants. He likes the shore here too. And thx on the locale here - it is nice. The mountains are so beautiful... lucky!

Maggie - I DID!! I got two got chomps before I was discovered. YUMMY STUFF!!! I will bring some with me today. My bean gots lots, she won't miss any... :cool: ~~ Mannie
