After a 43 last night at +9.5, I was confident Jenks would be in the stratosphere today. Instead, he's still hanging out in the blues.

However, each successive reading has been higher than the last, so I anticipate a mid-to-high yellow PMPS like there was last night. It will be interesting to see if he holds steady at this 5.5U dose overnight, or if he's going to go under 50 again indicating it's time for a reduction.

i just caught up on your last night's adventure. When a cat starts at a high number, they actually have farther to "fall" than if you're shooting a lower number. Some cats will go high right before they drop, too. I haven't noticed that on Jenks before, but wasn't looking for it either. You might watch and see if he develops a pattern of doing this.

He's looking good today. Either he's building up to a bounce or this is a half-hearted one because he's gotten more used to green numbers. Ozzy took a couple of days to build up to his bounces before he hit the top. I think it's possible there's not going to be any more of a bounce than what you're already seeing. He's got a lot of green on his spreadsheet, so he's spending lots of time there. His body might be ok with those 40's.

I don't know how his body reacts to the 40s (we'll find out in 3hrs at PMPS!), but I can tell you that Jenks was subjectively fine with those numbers. He was chill, alert, and in normal, playful, good spirits. His behavior was no different than had it been any other higher number.

What I did notice this time was that he wasn't actively seeking food. In the past, I would always be alerted to a low number (60 or under) because he'd come out and eat anything in sight at odd times when I'm not used to seeing him eat. On this occasion, he was just hanging out on the floor minding his own business.

Wow, that's a good observation. I guess you have to rely more heavily on testing now. Not every cat seeks food when their bgs go low.

An all blue day after a 44 last night? We'll take it!!!! :-D Awesome work so far Jenks!

Wow, we're only at +4.5 and his reading is already half that of PMPS. This either means it's going to be a surfing green night, or another intervention. I hope it's the former because we still have 7.5 hours left to AMPS and only about 15 points to work with. For now, I'm just going to monitor, but if he starts dipping into the 50s so early, I may try to stall him out with some LC (and maybe a drop of karo for good measure).

Hanging out in the greens early tonight. Gave him some LC at +6 to help stall him out and it looks like we've got a food bump at +7.

Jenks just had a phenomenal night. Green for 8+ hours and no intervention needed except for his regularly scheduled meal. Combined with his flat blue day, he logged one of, if not the, best day of his treatment thus far.
