Well this am started crappy, I either didn’t turn alarm on for 4:30 or I turned off, I don’t know:banghead: anyway, I got up at 5:25, hurried with test, fed and shot all in 5 min, so now we are behind again 30 min, will make up for it tonight and tomorrow am ugh, can’t believe I did that, DH usually turns on alarm and said he thought he did
All is well everyone ate and have all gone back to sleep
Happy Sunday everyone, sending prayers and vines to those in need @Squalliesmom, @Phoebes,@Shawna & Davidson

She won't be any worse for the wear because of 30 minutes and you can make it up tonight.

If you have a smart phone you can set the alarm on it for 4:30A to go off everyday and just take your phone into you bedroom with you. You can still have your phone ringer turned off so no one disturbs your sleep and the alarm ringer with still work. I have mine set for both AM and PM shot times for every day.

Question about Abby, I’m pretty sure she has uti, going to cat box a lot, I gave her some antibiotics, and I also have buprenex oral .3 mg, it was bellas, can I give her a little for pain, she seems uncomfortable, she is 6 lbs

I don't know about the dosage for her. Once when Bubba was RX bup I found a dosage chart online as I was questioning how much they gave him. Perhaps you can find that as a guide. Poor girl. Of course it would happen on a Holiday weekend.

Do you have a whole RX of the AB? It would be important for you to give her the whole regime. Also, is it an AB specific for UTI?

I do the same thing Bobbie and I also have a +3 (am&pm) +6 (am) and +9(am) alarms set to remind me to test and/or to separate the boys for their meals.

It’s amoxicillin and yes, I got it from my friend who has a cat rescue a cpl months ago

I know people have told me, but I can’t find it, how much d-mannrose to give? And how often please

Yesterday I was reading about struvite crystals in relation to dry commercial cat food, which went on to UTIs and I saw a recommendation for cranberry supplements for animals. I do know that cranberry juice helps humans, but wasn't aware it would work with cats and dogs. Anyone else encounter this or use this kind of supplement?

I have uromax, it’s a cranberry supplement and I also gave her some, I have given her antibiotics, something to relax her urethra

I hope Abby responds to the treatment, sound like you’re doing a good job! I do believe you have a larger cat pharmacy at your house than I do! Bellas numbers look really fine today. I’ll ttyl :bighug:

Some were given to me, some I had left over from Bella
She’s eating and acting fine except going to litter box a lot, we got home from being out 3 hrs and she hasn’t gone to litter box since we got home so maybe starting to help a little

Well Abby has has 2 doses antibiotics, 2 doses D-mannrose, 100cc subQ fluids, meds to relax urethra, and half dose of bupe
She is resting now, she peed just a tad more a little bit ago, if not better by Tue, will go to vet

How is Abby doing? Sad to hear she is uncomfortable. Seems like you are managing well, and seems to help her pee so I hope this will go away in no time and without vets visit. The less stress for her, the better. When Porto had/has cystitis episodes I give bit of No-spa (Drotaverine) to help with spams pain. Also sometimes with his IBD, for belly aches. May I ask what you gave for relaxing the urethra?

As for the alarm, my phone is full of alarms, set for everyday but even so, sometimes I just dont hear it, it happens to all of us I think. Before this (the diabetes) I swear I was the first to hear the alarm, never missed one. I slept like a rabbit. Now, 4 months of unregulated sleep later, when I fall asleep, I am like a tree trunk, thank god for high volume on my phone and many alarms option.

Many healing vines from us, I hope by now she is doing a lot better! :bighug:

She is better this am, she finally peed more than she did yesterday, thank you for asking :bighug: it’s called prazosin, it was something they had given Bella for uti and I had a few left, it’s a prescription vet gave him
