Yesterday's slide

MUCH better start this morning! Woohoo, Zener! :-D :-D He's doing fine. Appy is fine and he did yard patrol. There is LOTS of action at the woodpile and under the rain barrel so he and Tillie have to go back and forth to keep an eye on things. We do practice catch-and-release but there is not a whole lot of catching. ;-) :lol: Lots of trying though.

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans, Jamie and Jupiter, Mariko's Lucy, Melissa's Tarragon and DH, Josie's Ripley, Dara's Bob. Paws crossed for OTJ trials for Miou, Pixie. Happy Fursday, LL!

It's so much fun to watch cats being cats. Ours don't go out but they spend a lot of time watching the birds and squirrels. The squirrels are so busy now burying their nuts for the winter.

I hope you have a great cycle.

You should get a remote-controlled mouse, just to give them that feeling of accomplishment.

I was thinking the same thing. To play with them around the barrel or just afterwards so they can catch something that you control. And then feed them, like the cycle goes, catch, eat, and sleep.

Nice blue surf for Zener today. I'm glad he's feeling better and has a good appy.

Well, from feast to famine. All seemed good today and he ate his first serving of dinner with gusto, then poof...no appy. He also had a small pudding poo in the backyard. We went ahead with his PM shot, but he does not have his usual amount of food on board. We have him some cypro (an appy stimulant), and bupe the vet gave us Wednesday night. So paws crossed, these help and his appy kicks back in soon. We have fluids at home and can give those, but hate to do so with blue numbers and poor appy. We'll do that tomorrow afternoon if things are not better. Our poor guy, we wish we could make it all better all the time. :sad:

Awww...I'm so sorry Zener isn't feeling well tonight, either. Something seems to be running around LL today. Sending many prayers your way, too...c'mon, kitties...feel better!!!

We are having a similar day, Liz.
Lucy seemed better this morning, and now she's sick again.
All the suspense is catching up to me and I am feeling very tired, and I'm sure you are too.
So, hugs to you, (((Liz & Anne))).
I hope both our kitties will feel better soon and we can exchange better news tomorrow.
Sending tons of vines to Zener.

Zener, leave the roller coaster appy at the theme parks. Stick with this happy appy and your mamas will be so happy! Besides, you need your strength if you're going to try catching the mice under the wood pile! :-D

What an emotional roller coaster for you guys today. :YMHUG: Zener, keep eating please. It's hard for the beans to worry less and pet more.

Maybe a few raw mice would help settle the tummy and solidify the back end?

Thanks for all the good wishes and vines for our guy. Seems like his IBD is acting up again. Paws crossed it's short lived. The bupe really helped his tummy cramping, and we only gave about 1/2 of what was prescribed, so he is not lethargic from it.

@mariko - so sorry to read that Lucy is not having a good day today. We get tired too when things are not going well. Paws crossed tomorrow is a better day. :YMHUG:

@Deborah & Shasta - you are so right about the roller coaster. Zener and Tillie are both sitting outside under the full harvest moon starting intently at rodent TV - KMCE - K-mice - all mice all the time. ;-)

@Josie & Ripley - a little bit of cypro has helped with the eating. I'm so glad we shot anyway....well, now I am. :cool: BWHWAHAHAHAHAHA on the kitty picture. I used to have a sweatshirt with that picture on it!

@Wendy & Neko - I don't do well on the physical roller coaster and not any better on the emotional one. :? You are so right - it is very hard to pet more and worry less when there is no eating! Hmmmm, the medicinal benefits of raw mice. I must do some research. ;-)

NIght duty bean will be up for a little longer on feeding duty. Another test may not be needed...

Poor Zener! I hope the flare up is short lived and he will have his full appetite back soon.

After all, he must feel well enough to do the backyard patrol!
